Good morning everyone Today I have the last set of photos from Joanna when she attended a Sweet Poppy Stencils workshop last year; These two images on black card have been created with micro beads. Amazing. This image is created by placing 2 different colours of glitter over wet paste. This snowflake is created with ink over dry paste. They are so beautiful Joanna & I believe you are going back for another workshop this year! That's all from me today ladies. 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone.  I hope you have lots of good things planned for the weekend. This afternoon I am going back to last year & another set of photos of cards made by Joanna of Mold club, when she attended a workshop with Sweet Poppy stencils. The first 2 cards - the pink ones - Joanna made when she was back home. These next 2 cards Joanna made at the workshop. & this panel is one that she took along to a Mold club night & the ladies said they would like to learn that technique; So, I think Joanna along with Janet are working out how to organise this for sometime in the year. There is one more set of photos from Joanna & Janet's workshop so I will probably post those here tomorrow. Have a great weekend. 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone. Around November time last year I showed quite a few photos over several posts of projects that Joanna & Janet of Mold club made when at a workshop with Sweet Poppy Stencils. I didn't complete showing them so thought I would pop some of them in over the next few days.  I have already shown Janet's Projects & 2 of Joanna's.  This is the third set from Joanna. The stencil image has been used on the largest piece using translucent paste, & then as the main image with glitter paste. Next project cornflower stencil outside inside This project was very layered using the cornflower stencil & the paste was left to dry for a few hours & then foil added on top & ran through a hot laminator Ooh I am very envious - would have loved this workshop with such beautiful cards produced. Thank you for sending the photos Joanna & I will put another set on here soon. 'Bye for now...

Happy Birthday Joanna

Good afternoon everyone - this afternoon I have another showcase projects from the workshop that Joanna of Mold club attended recently.  As before I will put Joanna's email message beneath the photos; "Extra evening session on the Saturday - Eileen showed us how to make a  faux wooden fence and I did the 'Weathered Wood' one at home. I used one of the makes for my show n tell. Lucy showed us the paste/mica powders/ heat-tool-bubbling technique  which is what the wreath is made of" Thank you Joanna - you really had a good weekend.  That's not all folks - there are still 3 more batches to show you. Before I go - Cathy of Mold II club has put a comment on the birthday greetings post (19 Dec) regarding the cards she received. That's me for today.  Have a nice evening. 'Bye.

Good Afternoon everyone, although looking at the time I suppose it is Good Evening. Today I have another set of member showcase photos to show you.  Again they are from the weekend workshop attended by Joanna & Janet of Mold group, recently.  This time they are some of Joanna's work & again I will include the text from Joanna's email. "First set The four similar ones we did with Eileen in the afternoon, part of a  large background stencil coloured with a couple of inks and then another  larger one over the top using memento ink.  A little of the same  background on one corner of the envelope (with a piece of card inside to  stop leakage and to give a firm stamping base)" Thank you Joanna I am really envious.  I have followed Eileen's work for a long time. More of Joanna's still to come - lots in fact. Enjoy the rest of the day.  'Bye for now.

Good afternoon. Sorry I missed writing something yesterday.  I had my head down & my mojo working overtime, making sample cards & didn't notice the time going. I have a showcase photo from Joanna of Mold group & she has been sewing again.  I just fell in love with this pieces - Gorgeous teapot stands.  Joanna made them for her sisters, although they will not be used for the purpose they were made,as they are too nice to cover up. It's the July meeting of the Mold club tonight - so will have photos from there to show you in a couple of days.  In the meantime I will show the last batch of my beautiful birthday cards tomorrow. That's me for tonight - need to get ready for Mold club. 'Bye for now.

Good morning everyone - yuk, what a horrible wet day.  Bob has just come in & said he was speaking to someone who said it was snowing in Mold! Today I have a member showcase for you & it is from Joanna of Mold club but not sewing this time - a memory shadow box; There is a lovely story behind this. I was going to give a brief outline but decided ------------------- Why don't I let Joanna explain! "A bit of history - one of my sisters had a horse for many years, he was put in a retirement home a few years ago and sadly recently died (he was 26!).  Another sister thought it would be a nice to make her a shadow box with some memento's but, as she doesn't craft, she asked me to do it! I have never made one but did a bit of research and then went to the Range to purchase a frame (they're very cheap, a little over £5 for a 12x12). One of the items was a horseshoe but Ted was huge with very large hooves and it weighed far too much to add to...

Good afternoon everyone. Another member showcase for you today, once again from Joanna & her lovely sewing. This time I am showing 4 place-mats.  I should have blogged these earlier as now I cannot remember, sorry Joanna, as to whether one of these is the back of another one.  But whichever way round - they are all beautiful. I love the tiger motif in the centre of this place-mat Thank you for ending these in Joanna - so sorry it has taken me so long showing them. That's it for today - I have one of my recent cards to show you tomorrow. 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone what a grey damp day - I believe it is supposed to brighten up - lets hope so. Today I have a member showcase for you.  Its one I have had for a little while & is of more of that lovely sewing that Joanna, of Mold club,  has been doing. Some more lovely place mats; Front Reverse These are really lovely Joanna. I will be showing the others that Joanna has sent me photos of over the next few days. She has also created some different items so I will show those also at some time. More from me tomorrow with a card that I have recently made. Don't forget if you have been making things - please send me photos.  These days I have some "dry" days - they are due to perhaps me not creating anything, hospital visit & me feeling tired with a lack of mojo. Ir is on these days that your photos are useful. Keep warm & dry & take care. 'Bye for now.

Good morning everyone. This morning I  have the first of the 2 member showcases I mentioned in yesterday's blog post, & it is from Joanna of Mold club, who has been busy sewing again; In her email that accompanied the photo Joanna said;  "I actually did a bit of sewing and made this last-minute extra for someone special   😉                          The hanger is 13" tall so it will be very obvious that it is her room!   I'm having so much fun with my sewing machine at the moment - you can probably tell!" It is beautiful Joanna & I am sure Millie was delighted. Personal gifts are always so nice to receive & to give. Which reminds me I must show you something I made as a Christmas present. Another member showcase tomorrow - 'bye for now.

Hello everyone Today I have the member showcase for you that I mentioned & it is of some more sewing work from Joanna of Mold club. Along with the photos in the email Joanna said this ............... "Hi Gloria Thought you might like to see what I've just been making - my great-niece had a baby two weeks ago and so I made a 'welcome bear' for him. Couldn't leave his big brother out so he got one too :) More fab designs from the company I've recently discovered (those who designed the trees) Kreative Kiwi - they're almost 12 inches tall. Rory was born 12 weeks early weighing 2 lbs 12 ozs - he's going to be in special care for many weeks yet but he's doing very well - tiny but strong." Here they are; I am sure they will love them Joanna - they are gorgeous.  Thank you for sharing. Ladies - you are all so clever & talented & I love seeing what you make regardless of what particular craft you have used...

Good afternoon everyone. On Thursday it was the final meeting for 2018 of the Mold club & Joanna has taken photos of both the Show & Tell and the evening's project. But as she has been rather busy there will be a little delay before I can show them. I had an email from her apologising for the delay & showed me the reason why.  Here is a photo of the project that she was working on & had to finish; As well as making some beautiful cards, Joanna is also a great needlewoman. Here is her email message; "I found this embroidery design by a New Zealand company and have spent a large part of today stitching it - it's about 19" high and 15" at the widest and was really complex. Had to be stitched in 6 different parts with wadding under the fabrics to give the quilting stitches depth. I love it and am planning to give it to our son and his partner (they're all black, white and grey at their house) and do another one for us perh...

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all snuggled up warm & cosy, & if you have to go out please take care. Today I have a member showcase from Joanna of Mold club who sent me an email & some photos of prizes she had won.  I am going to put Joanna's email here so that I don't get the facts wrong - "I don't think I mentioned but.....I won a prize! Actually, I won a £15  voucher with Chocolate Baroque - again - for commenting but I also won a  Craft Stash prize via Facebook. It's just arrived this morning :) Photos  attached. I had to remind them about it after 13 days and because she'd 'dropped the ball' (meaning she'd forgotten about me!!) some of the colours of Nuvo Drops I'd chosen were out of stock so she picked colours that were close and sent me 7 instead of 5! I really *should* try the lottery one day :) Jo xx" Well done Joanna & it really is a good idea to remind people that they have promised to send y...

Good morning everyone. A bit of a damp start to the weekend so lets hope that it improves soon. Today I have another member showcase & this time it is from Joanna of Mold club who has sent me photos of a card she has made for her sister's birthday. The style she chose to make was that lovely double slider card we made last year; That is stunning Joanna. The layer immediately behind the topper is a sort of fibrous paper - very effective. this photo shows the sliders pulled out....... ....... & this one shows the easel that Joanna created & affixed to the back so that the card would stand up.  Great idea. I am sure your sister will be thrilled to receive the card Joanna. I have to say I do like this design very much & used it when making some early Christmas cards. I must use it again this year for some birthday cards too. I just want to mention here that I am sorry I didn't write a post yesterday but it was one of my tired ...

Good afternoon everyone Today I am taking a break from catching up with showing you my recently made cards & bringing you a member news item. This has come from Joanna of Mold club who sent it to me after I got back from holiday to use if I was short of things to show.  Evidently she had this & a couple of other items in a document to send me & had only just remembered to do so. Here is what she said in the email she sent; " I shall tell you here about the Make with Cake Janet and I attended: I won an invite for myself and a friend to attend a 'Make with Cake' in Wrexham. I was hoping it would be at the Sizzix headquarters but instead it was held at a hotel (with the tightest, smallest car park you've ever seen!!!).  There were about 30 people there from as far away as London, guess we were the lucky ones only travelling a few miles. We started the afternoon using the Big Shot to cut out letters and flowers to decorate a cushion cover (all materi...

Oops - I wonder how many of you remember the things that I post on here. I am hoping that some of you noticed my error on the last showcase post. What's more there is another oops - as Blogger decided to publish this post after I had only typed 2 lines. There are times when I really hate computers. But the original oops above - was that I showed the wrong prize photos - I had blogged that prize of Joanna's wins a little while back. This is the prize that I should have shown; The information I put with the other photos was correct for this photo.   Looks a nice little bundle Joanna - I hope you enjoy using it. I am now going to lay down in a darkened room & see if I can get my brain back in gear. 'Bye for now.
