A productive afternoon

Good afternoon everyone - what a miserable day! I tucked myself into my lovely craft room once we were back from the weekly shop & got on with organising more items towards my Christmas cards. As I was hunting for something yesterday - I think it was a mask I had bought a couple of months ago from Stamps Away - I found a little poly-bag with some more Christmas fabric squares in. They were really nice - so that became my session.  Or at least part of it. I glued them to white card to stabilise them then after leaving them to dry I trimmed them to size. Next I decided on what stamping would go with them.  A little while later 6 very nice Christmas cards in my usual clean & simple style.  I hope it shows up in the photo but the designs are just in black, gold & white - so I stamped & embossed 2 "Merry Christmas" on each card & a snowflake in the corner. After a quick break for some lunch - it was back to the work desk. This time I ...

Did some stamping

Hi ladies Yes! I managed to do some stamping today as I had hoped.  Here is a photo of one of the cards I made; The stamps I used today came as a free gift on a recent magazine of the "Lets Get Crafting" series on Cards & Stamping.  The magazine was £7-99 (a bit pricey), but the free stamps were on an A4 sheet.  Most of the stamps were quite small but layered up or used more than once gave good designs. The garland above is one of the larger stamps & the 2 individual flowers were on there too.  I coloured the flowers with Promarkers. The cards I made were very simple but enjoyable to do - so tomorrow when I get some more stamping in I am hoping to be more adventurous.  Mind you I fell in love with a butterfly & a rather funky cat. If you are interested in seeing the other cards I have put them on my personal blog & you can get to it by clicking HERE I also managed a few domestic duties, before settling down to start on my task for HSNW - I h...

Forty Four cards!!!

Yes, you have read that right - 44 cards. Good afternoon ladies Yesterday & today whilst Bob has been watching Rugby I have been up in my little craft room making cards & sorting more stash. Of the 44 cards - 2 were rubber stamped & were made from toppers that I had made last year.  They were in fact the 2 toppers I made for the HSNW Festival Exhibition board when we did the black & white theme. 24 of them were made from the left-overs of a kit I had bought in 2009 from Create & Craft. The kit contained 40 beautiful floral cards with decoupage, which when you popped out the layers gave you pryamage & invertage (in's & out's!) - so 20 of each.  I made up quite a few of them some time back for fundraising & used the decoupage option.  A couple of people who bought them remarked on the amount that it cost them in postage because of the depth.  So when I sorted them out yesterday I made the other 14 with just one...
