Good afternoon ladies This afternoon I made some time for a play session.  Quite a while ago I joined a group that makes & exchanges tags.  Rather naughtily I have fallen behind - so it is time for me to catch up.  My favourite oriental poppy stamp This butterfly & little flower were part of a free set with a magazine Another freebie set, I love the dovecote These 3 stamps are part of a 6 stamp set they are all just under 1" square The bird is from the same set as the dovecote, & the little flower from the magazine free set Each of the tags has been coloured with dye-based inks (not distress inks!!! for a change) & all images are stamped with black archival ink.  I need to take another look at them tomorrow to see whether I want to add any embellishments & of course add some fibres or ribbon. Tomorrow I am taking my friend & neighbour out for the day.  She too is into stamping & all ways of card making.  We are going to...

Yesterday's stamping session

Image
Hi everyone - I hope you are having a pleasant weekend. Yesterday I told you about my stamping session - so here are some of the pictures as promised; On this tag I used Tattered Rose & Milled Lavender.  As I stated yesterday I start with the lighter colour, then go to the darker colour & often go back to the lighter colour again to complete the blending. This tag was made with Fired Brick & Wild Honey.  I often use FB with Vintage Photo but that would have been too dark for this image. Here is the piece of resist technique that I also did - I used Crushed Olive & Wild Honey for this; Whilst stamping the tags I made one using the same colours as this resist piece & the two go together well of course, so that is what I will be putting together today, but not until I have made a birthday card for our grand-daughter who will be 15 on Wednesday. That is it for today.  'Bye for now.

Three challenges in one day

Image
Hi everyone Although I am feeling rather tired again today I decided to take part in some blog challenges.  As the title says - three in one day!  You can see them over on my personal blog by clicking HERE . I finally photographed the 2 little tags that I had made during that tag workshop.  There isn't any stamping involved as it wasn't a stamping workshop.  I just gave them a box of papers & embellishment & went from there.  The photo is at the end of the blog. I was really lucky with the heart tag, as I just pulled out some items from the box & there was the piece of red card with the heart aperture & the outline silver heart, which of course just fitted inside the aperture.  After another look in the box I found the other silver heart & the word Love on a piece of paper which I trimmed & popped inside the outline heart. The other tag was made to show how using papers in strips or patchwork can really work well.  Then i...

Pictures sorted - now to show you.

Good morning everyone & another nice morning it is too. Well I have solved the problem I was having yesterday with uploading photos.  Just had to approach it from another direction. So they are now all loaded into my blog so that I can link them to the challenges - three all in one day. The first one was for a blog called Theme Thursday & their challenge for this week was - Pink.  Its for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  So I found some pretty pink papers (they look lilac in the photo - but they are pink) - that had been in an early issue of Making Cards & designed by Nancy Watts, from which I made a tag.  I had bought a little pink button with a heart on it to include - but the pink was so different that I didn't use it.  The sentiment is the word Believe - it doesn't show up too well though.  It is one of those block style peel-offs with the lettering cut out. Here is the tag - The next project was for the challenge over at Tag You're I...
