Firstly - at the end of my last post - I made an error when said  I had a member showcase to show you - but in fact I had already written a post on that. Anyway, good news - I have had another one come in. This time it is from Carolyn of Mold II club.  She sent me a photo of a card she had made using the start easel style card we learnt recently,  as her base. Here it is; Carolyn has done away with the triangle cut offs that are normally on the card & added this adapted square topper. It is brilliant Carolyn - & has given me some ideas.  All I need now is the mojo to get on & use it. Thank you for sending it in Carolyn - I love it. I have another member showcase to show you so I am going to do another post after this one.  I do like, where possible, to keep each member showcase post to individual posts. Back soon. 'Bye.

member showcase on its way.

Good evening ladies. Oh my goodness I do hope you are all keeping well wrapped in this very cold spell today & more is forecast for the next couple of days.  Do, also, take care if you are out driving in these conditions. I have given this post the title I have because I have had emails today from Rita & Carolyn (both of Mold II club) about some member showcase news. I have been sent some information about it & as soon as I can get it onto my computer to blog it I will.  Probably tomorrow sometime.  It is a slightly bigger showcase than usual. Just thought I would raise your curiosity. 'Bye for now.

Good morning everyone I hope you are all having a great weekend, especially those ladies who went to the stamp festival yesterday. I have another member showcase to show you today & this time it is Rita from Mold II. Rita has had one of her cards published in the latest issue of "Simply Cards & Papercraft" magazine & was made using a free die from an earlier issue of the magazine; That's a lovely clean & simple card Rita.  Keep up the good work. That's me for today - I have some recent cards I have made to show you & will do that tomorrow.

Good evening everyone - I do hope you have all had a great weekend. Tonight I have a member showcase from Joanna of Mold club.  She has sent me a photo of one of the "demo" cards she made whilst showing the club how to do the Northern Lights technique - after she has made it into a card for a friends anniversary; I think, Joanna, this is the best one so far that you have done.  Because for me the problem has been how to interpret those lovely flowing & moving shapes that the northern lights make & I think you are pretty near with this one. You can almost imagine those shapes swirling across the night sky. It is obviously down to the blending of the colours & these here certainly meet that criteria. Ooh! now I have to go & practise more............. & more!!!!!! 'Bye for now.

Good evening everyone & before I settle down for the evening I am popping in with another member showcase as promised.  The member this time is Elma from Mold II club. Now there is a little story behind this card.  Elma made the card for a show & tell & mentioned to Annette that she didn't want it & was going to throw it away.  Annette asked her not to do that so Elma said "You have it then" & gave it to Annette.  Annette felt that it was a good card for the magazines - so she eventually sent it off to them with a covering letter (as if written by Elma) along with Elma's details. It was published in the latest issue of Papercraft Essentials - the same issue as Rita in the last post; We were all disappointed that they didn't actually publish Elma's name - but we know it is her card - as it was included in this post HERE , back in October 2014. Well done Elma & a big thank you to Annette. Have a great weekend. 'Bye ...

Good evening ladies & tonight I have a members showcase with a difference. The showcase tonight is from Rita of Mold II club & there are 2 photographs.  Here is the first one; As you can see these cards by Rita were featured on the Letters page of Papercraft Essentials magazine - I have made the photo a little larger so that you can see the letter. So, why is the members showcase different? Here is why - Rita's grandson is now being published - well done Joe, & I bet your grandma is so proud, this was featured in the CardMaking & Papercraft magazine. Thank you for sending these in Rita.

Hello everyone. The member news this time features a card made by Betty of Mold II club.  A lovely little "Our house to your house" card. The house is a die & the flower was made from that lovely little die for making different flowers, that I featured a while ago. I live the embossed base card it really sets the whole thing off nicely. Thank you Betty.  Watch this space as there a couple more of Betty's cards to show. 'Bye for now.

Good evening everyone - I was just having a look around the blog & noticed that the post from yesterday didn't seem to appear.  When I looked at where I create the pages it was still there marked as "draft" - so for some reason or other it didn't publish.  I don't remember having a problem - but there we go. So the rest of this post is actually that from yesterday morning, & here it is.  I will be back again tomorrow. Good morning everyone - I hope you all had a good weekend.  I did - very lazy.  I didn't do much more yesterday to what I did Saturday, but it did include quite a bit of research for the club programme. Anyway - this morning I have a member showcase for you & once again it is Betty from Mold II & it looks like she has been called upon to make Father's Day cards.  Here they are; I love the patriotic colours Betty - two really great cards. Thank you for sending them in. I have some running around to do toda...

Good evening everyone Here is the next showcase from Rita that I said I would be posting.  After showing you the photos I am going to add what Rita wrote in her email to me about them; Here is what Rita said about it; "This one is for a friend, she loves the colour green and I spotted this green shoe doorstop some time ago, so I have decorated it and made it into her card she can always use it after to keep the door open." It is absolutely stunning Rita I am sure your friend will be delighted.  What a lovely novel birthday "card". That's me for tonight.  Sleep well - night night.

OK - here I am again, just like the buses - nothing for a while then 3 all together. This time we have a showcase & it is Betty from Mold II club who went home from the meeting & made one of the pop-up card in a box cards. It's lovely & bright & cheerful.  Well done Betty.  I think people are going to get addicted to this card because you can put so much into it (without going over the top) but you haven't got horrendous postage to pay.  It folds flat & should go normal or large depending on the size you make it. Right I think that has me uptodate with news, but I still have Carolyn's instructions to cover. I have some serious card making to do this week & I may show you the card I made Bob for our anniversary. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. 'Bye for now.
