Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & now eagerly awaiting the New Year.  This is a strange few days - the hustle & bustle & excitement of Christmas has passed.  You've finished making Christmas cards & some of the presents too I suspect. Now it's those days between one event & the next.  You need a little rest from card-making, but then I expect like me you have people with birthdays early in January - so its off on another card making spree.  I had 2 to make yesterday for New Years Day birthdays to get them in the post today. Anyway, those Christmas cards. The last one (in this batch) I used Brushos over clear embossed images to create the background & I also used the matching die on the poinsettia spray to raise the flowers. This was the lucky dip card for the Happy Stampers Group (HSNW) that I still go to. The card above it is deliberately pale & subtle as the person it was for, likes...

Some Christmas cards

Good afternoon everyone. My! its a bit cold out there this afternoon.  Earlier today I have been out to lunch with a group of ladies whose husband are or have been members of the same business group that Bob belongs too.  I discovered a few months ago that they meet for lunch when the men are at theirs, so naturally joined as well. Today it was Christmas lunch & very nice it was too. I have in this post some of the recent Christmas cards I have made - mainly using Hunkydory items. The first photo though are of cards that have been stamped & are the ones I took along today to the ladies lunch.  There are 9 ladies plus me at the moment - but 2 of the ladies are I have known through a separate group, so they get different cards; The stamps & the circle die were the freebies on a recent Creative Stamping magazine & are by  John Lockwood aka John Next Door. I really enjoyed making these. These are the Hunkydory ones. The ...

possibly the last Christmas card

... well design wise anyway. Oh, by the way - good evening everyone. Hey, did you think I had lost it last night - totally off my head?  I really couldn't think of the words I needed to express what I was trying to say.  They may have been - sentimental, sentimentality, romantic, romanticism..... - I don't know.  Perhaps I was finally getting swept up in the Christmas festivities.  If you speak to my family - they will tell you that they have to hide the fact that over Christmas there are animated films on the TV,  because I want to watch them all.  They suffered "Happy Feet" one year & have never let me forget it.  They forget these great animated films were not around when I was a child - OK, I went to the cinema & saw Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs - I was seven!  Not the same as what they can watch today.  But still magical. Ah! perhaps that another word I was looking for - Magical.  Santa & Pete was magical even...

two more Christmas cards

Good evening everyone - well!, it's 2 weeks to go now. Here are 2 more of my cards - which I made yesterday. I needed 2 more for a lunch I attended today. I had miscalculated so I needed something quick & simple; They are a sort of recycling pair, as the trees are off other Christmas cards  - I always have a standby box of cards each Christmas & this is this years.  So I just cut out the trees, added a gold star & placed them on a piece of background paper I had that went with the trees so well.  The background paper was edged with gold border peel-offs to lift it from the white card, & a peel-off greeting added. I have done some stamping though - the message inside is a stamped message. That bottom card must have got bent, because the bottom edge looks a bit peculiar - it was definitely straight & level. Tomorrow there should be the last of my cards to show you, except for the family ones - which I will show you after Christmas. ...

Good evening everyone - what an awful day! I walked down our drive this morning to retrieve our rubbish bin & nearly got blown off my feet. I am pleased to say though that I did manage to get some washing done & dry - just managed to miss showers. As well as washing I have also been busy making some more cards - I seem to have been making them for ages, but the list of what I need doesn't seem to be getting any shorter. These - once again are from a set I had bought sometime earlier in the year & forgotten about; I still had some of the gold embossed parchment papers left - so used those for backgrounds. I love the colours - they are so rich & warm. The frames have been stuck flat on the background & the shaped centre pieces are mounted on foam pads to raise them just a little./ I made 2 other cards as well - but will save those for tomorrow to show you. That's me - night night.

Good evening ladies I hope you all had a good weekend. I have some more photos of my Christmas cards from the Hunkydory Christmas pack.  From this pack I have now made 13 cards & there is one topper left in the pack, so that will be a total of 14 cards.  There is quite a bit of background paper & card still left & some of the designs make a card in their own right - so this week I will make an effort to use those up.  Then I will be able to carry on with the Pollyanna Pickering ones, followed by some rubber stamped ones. I hope you are all getting on well with your Christmas card making - it isn't long now is it. Well that's me for today - more tomorrow.  'Bye for now.

Good morning everyone Yesterday I popped into PBC to say hello & have a chat about future workshops & there were 2 Christmas cards waiting for me that had been left at the shop. So here they are for you to see; Another different paper Christmas tree This time an embossed Christmas tree.  This card was difficult to photograph as I kept being able to see a reflection of my hands & the camera in it.  managed this one which was a lot better. Yesterday I entered another blog challenge & my card is on my personal blog if you want to pop over & have a look. That really brings you uptodate with my Christmas cards received - may be back later.  'By for now.
