Rubber Stamping - North Wales

Hi everyone - well the sun came out earlier this morning & I thought here comes that lovely weather they told us about last night.  But already it is looking grey & cloudy again.  Never mind - we cope, don't we? I thought I would pop in & show you a couple of cards I made recently - they are non-stamping ones. The first is the birthday card I made for Russ & I used some of the Crafter's Companion paper & card that came with a CD - Camden Town. Here is the card; As we all know it can be difficult making cards for men - but I liked this chunky postage stamp edged card & the bike image links to Russ's bike riding hobby.  Although I think his bike is somewhat more butch than this one - but at least the link is made. The topper came with extra elements but I just chose to use the little postcard & the Happy Birthday tag. Good evening everyone. Yesterday I blogged a member showcase for Annette of Mold II & today I had an email from Betty of Mold II asking me if I had missed Rita's card in the magazine - Papercraft Essentials. When I buy these magazines from time to time I always go straight to the "Your Cards" pages to see if anyone I know has a card featured.  Then at a later time I look through the rest of the magazine.  So my answer to Betty had to be "Yes, - I did miss it" - because....... Rita made it to the "Your Letters" page & in fact had 2 cards featured,  So I immediately photographed it & here it is; Well done Rita & I would have seen it eventually - but thank you to Betty for pointing it out to me.  I love the hanging card. More tomorrow - I believe we are promised sunshine!  So, hopefully some time in the garden. Night night

............. lost ink pads. You may remember that a little while back I mentioned that I couldn't find a small box that held small pigment ink pads?  I mentioned how I looked high & low for them?  Perhaps I didn't look quite high & low enough - because this week - I found them. Oops - nearly forgot - good afternoon everyone. They (the ink pads) were in the bottom drawer of my computer desk in a ziplock bag along with an acrylic block, some stamps, white ink refill & white ink pads.  I had used them for the White-wash technique & because I had only shown the technique to one club I decided to keep everything together for the demo at the other 2 clubs.  Then I must have made a "sensible??" decision to put them in the drawer where I could find them. Doing something sensible doesn't work - I completely forgot about it.  So, when I couldn't find them decided I had left them somewhere.  Anyway they are found & I do know where I have p...

Good morning everyone - still a bit grey & damp, but I believe the latter part of the week is going to improve. I am popping in with some member news & showcase.  This time it is Annette of Mold II club who has had one of her cards featured in Papercraft Essentials this month. We  done Annette. So ladies, as well as sending photos of your cards to me to put on the blog - why not send them off to the magazines?  A lot of the time the featured card gets the creator a gift.  That can't be bad can it? Tonight my post is a member showcase & it is from Betty of Mold II club who sent me a lovely card which she has made for a friend, using the free Indigo Blue set that was free on a recent Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine. Here is the card; It's beautiful Betty & I am sure your friend will be delighted with it. I have that set of stamps too but haven't got around to using them yet.  Also this weekend I picked up a copy of Papercraft Essentials (I think it was essentials rather than Inspirations) - anyway that has a lovely free set of stamps on it from Lavinia's Stamps. Another Mold II member was featured in the magazine - so I will post that on the blog tomorrow. Hi everyone I have been totally smitten with this stretch card & have now made 3 - with another one started. I made one of them before the CSNW meeting last Wednesday, then I started one alongside the ladies during the meeting - today I finished it off, & I have made another one.  The only one I can show you right now is the one I made for the CSNW meeting. The eagle-eyed among you will notice that I do not have sticky-up bits at the back, like the demo ones that Carolyn of Mold II made for me & those made by the Mold II ladies at their meeting. I decided to make mine a little different to that & actually placed it on the front of a base folded card. This is what it looks like stood up & open. I rather like that - it gives the card another layer, & somewhere to put a verse & my greeting.  There is some stamping on this one - the Happy Birthday at bottom left.
