Liz from Mold II

Just popping in quickly to say that I went to the Maelor late this afternoon to see Liz. She was very perky despite being in pain, & was pleased to see everyone who has paid a visit.  Liz thinks she will be in for a while whilst they do various tests & find the best thing to help her. She explained that whilst talking to one of the staff she was told about a computer in one of the rooms which the patients are able to use. Having exlained about the club  blog to this kind person & being shown around the computer - she actually left that comment herself, on the post about her being in hospital.  Well done Liz. I will go back & see her possibly at the weekend or very early next week. That's me I am off to find somewhere cool in the house to cool down.  I wish our weather would bring this heat in gradually then I could cope.  Still better to have than not have it.  Hopefully this means summer is here. 'Bye for now.

Some recent cards

Good afternoon ladies Sorry to didn't write any post yesterday I had rather a strange day.  Back in April I managed to have a sty appear on my right eye, which vanished a couple of days later. Then on Sunday night there was another one. Yesterday my eye was constantly running & although I managed to sort some things for a 60th birthday card I couldn't use the computer comfortably. Before I show you the cards I want to mention for the Mold II ladies that I am going along to see Liz later this afternoon at the Maelor. Please go to the post HERE where I told you about Liz being in hospital - as she has added a message. The 2 cards I have to show you are almost identical & are for a new baby; My friend Caroline's daughter Amy had a little girl, & consequently Caroline & her husband became grand-parents.  So I thought it only right to do the two cards. I have a couple more recent cards to show you including the 60th birthday card which I did...

Message for Mold II ladies

Good evening ladies In the week I heard from Betty that Liz was unwell. I then had a further phone call on Friday to say that Liz was in hospital. Yesterday Betty rang me again to say that she & Annette had visited Liz.  Obviously we are not aware of what is wrong but I am sure you will all join me in sending Liz our best wishes. I will be ringing the hospital tomorrow morning to make sure she is in the same ward as she was on Saturday & then hopefully will have time to pop  & see her. I will take her card from us all. I will brig you up to date when I have visited her. I hope you all have had a good weekend. More tomorrow.

Another member showcase.

Wow,  some of you are getting very good at appearing in the media. Good morning ladies & this morning I have another member showcase for you, this time from Rita of Mold II club who has been featured in Papercraft Inspirations Magazine on the letters page. The magazine, in case you don't know it - has a feature on the letters page where readers send in photos of themselves whilst on holiday with a copy of the magazine. It is interesting to see how far flung those magazines are taken.  Rita took hers to Berlin. Well done Rita. Have a good weekend ladies.  'Bye for now.

A very different member showase

Popped back in after publishing to make a little change - especially in the post title. Yesterday I had an email from Carolyn of Mold II club - here is what she said; Hi Gloria, I thought you'd like to see this. We helped Rosemary make some samples at the retreat this last weekend and this is one of my cards, shown during the 11am show! Regards Carolyn  The Rosemary that Carolyn refers to is Rosemary Merry of Crab Apple Crafts  (which sadly is closing on 6 August). I have never inserted a video before on the blog - so fingers crossed it works. Yes it worked.  To watch it -  Click on the video box arrow head.  Then click on the bottom right corner to open it to full screen size.  Remember to turn up your volume then you will hear Carolyn's name mentioned. Well done Carolyn - that is certainly a different member showcase. 'Bye for now.

A sudden thought

As I re-read the last blog post & pressed the button to publish it I had a thought. What is the betting that John Lockwood put masking tape around that piece of work so that it didn't get on the outer edges of the panel.  Duh! Mind you that still leaves the embossed piece to work out. 'Byee.

just chatting & some work in progress

Good afternoon ladies. Just to bring you up to date - I had my ultrasound yesterday following a week of injections, for the consultant to see how things were going. I am pleased to say there is no sign of a DVT & the consultant is very pleased.  I will be keeping an eye on my leg as obviously I don't want that to happen again, especially as now I have taken a deep breath & braved a flight to Cyprus earlier this year. I think Bob may have another trip lined up for next year, as our friends in Alicante will be celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary. So what I have I been up to craft wise? I am doing some re-organisation of my craft room - which really is a never ending task, because I keep changing my mind as to how I want things.  I am really pleased with my MDF Die Storage boxes & Stamps Away  - who trade as Clever Cuts, have now brought one out for stamps.  It has acrylic shelves for your stamps to stick to - & you can use both sides - ...
