Good afternoon everyone. Once again I had not realised that several days have gone by since I last posted on here. So therefore I must offer my apologies. I have been rather busy sorting out items for a demo I am taking part in.  My subject is embossing folders, stencils & dies. I have tried to think of different ways to use these items, whether separately or in a combination, & to make samples to show.  Then of course to prepare some card ready to do a practical demo on the day. Good afternoon everyone. Sorry - I didn't post anything yesterday, but I was out nearly all day with our daughter-in-law Nadine, & I had said to Bob "don't think I will feel like cooking after being out today" - we went out for a quick meal at one of our local inns in the evening.  Very nice too. This afternoon I have some photos of the Show & Tell cards made by the CSNW ladies & brought to their meeting on Wednesday evening.  The theme was a card with movement. Gwen made a DL card ...... ..... with a lovely stack of parcels inside. This is a great way to decorate a simple pop-up insert. Good afternoon everyone. This afternoon I have a photo of one of the recent cards I have made; I used one half of one of the background papers I made (posted HERE ).  Then I stamped & embossed the butterfly in Versamark Ink & white EP & coloured the wings in with gel pens. I layered onto some lilac card (which always looks blue in photographs!) & then on to a base white card. It's CSNW's club night tonight - so I am now off to make sure I have my box packed correctly. Good afternoon ladies - oh & the couple of gentlemen that pop in for a read as well. Today I have been sorting paperwork for the workshop in October - directions for the CSNW ladies & my garden centre ladies to get to the venue.  Also a "poster" to hand out to everyone who is attending with details of materials etc.  Poor little printer is positively smoking. I have also made 2 samples of the card that CSNW have as their project at the October meeting.  It is their September meeting tomorrow night - so needed to make them in order to take them along.  I still have to photograph them. Then there was also the programme sheets for October for them & the instructions for tomorrows project, which is Carolyn's file folder album. My friend Caroline has a lot of her stock on Sale & has given me a selection of items that I will be bringing along to your meetings.  There are some Distress Inks - the original sort - that are nicely reduced.  Quit...

Good afternoon everyone. I have just updated the club page for the CSNW meetings. I have changed the project for next month - October, ladies, & moved the original project (Carolyn's different fold card), to November.  At the same time I have also changed the project for your December meeting. I had thought it a good idea to be putting future ideas on the biog - but until it is written in stone I have the chance to change it. A woman's prerogative I am led to believe. 😁 I will add a photo of the card on the projects photo page later.

........................ What - I hear you asking is a MAM weekend? Well! for me it was a " M ini A lbum M ania" weekend. We went to see our grandson on Bank Holiday Monday & Elayne gave us a set of small photos that were part of the professional photo session on the day they left hospital. We had 8 (2 lots of 4 so that Bob had some to show as well) & they measured approx 5 cm x 7.5 cm - they would be lost in a normal photo album or scrapbook unless I came up with a very clever idea.  I had already been thinking of trying a smaller album after learning how to make that file folder album - so looking at these photos in the week I suddenly knew what I was going to try. I took A4 card, decided on the height of the album & cut a strip from the sheet.  Unfortunately I couldn't get 2 strips out of the one sheet.  I really felt I didn't want to make it any smaller - so I cut the other strip from a second A4 card.
