Rubber Stamping - North Wales

Good afternoon everyone. This afternoon I have one of my recently made cards to show you. This was for our son Russ's birthday on Sunday. The topper is from that Hunkdory kit I am slowly using, & I used some vertical "happy birthday" peel offs with it.  I wasn't sure what sort of card to use for the base to start with.  Then when looking for some other card spotted this sheet of rippled gold card.  Perfect. Yesterday Bob & I had a pleasant day out - we went over to Staffordshire - to look at somethings that Bob was interested in. As we were close to the village he used to live in we popped along to the cemetery & put some flowers down for his Mum & Dad & also one of his brothers. I have been making a few cards over the last couple of days - so will be posting some more here during the week. I hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather. Hello everyone. I thought it was about time I wrote something, as the last blog post was on Wednesday. On Thursday I had an appointment to see my consultant for my 6 month check-up. He examined me to see how things had progressed & was very pleased with the results.  He has been kept informed of my visits with the Oncologist & how I am doing on the various drugs. I am very pleased to say that he has decided not to put me through another operation - you may remember one had been put on the back boiler whilst we saw what the Hormone Therapy did.  So I don't have to see him again until next year. which is good news along with not having to have another op. I have an appointment in June for another CT scan so that the Oncologist can see what effect the drugs have had. Good morning - just popping in to say that this morning I am updating the club pages & the project photos page. I have just completed the update for Mold club for May & will be gradually updating the other clubs throughout the morning. I also want to take this chance of asking those of you who like to leave comments & use the "anonymous" option to do so - to please make sure your name is on the end of the message - perhaps in bold, capitals or colour to make it stand out. I will try & explain briefly.  When you leave a comment it goes into a file called "waiting moderation". Now none of you would leave "nasty" comments but the blog does get read by other than club people & they can leave comments too.  The moderation setup allows me to check the messages before they hit the blog post & approve them for publication. Good afternoon everyone - what a shame - it's raining.  But then we always need rain to keep this country looking green.  But today we, that is Bob & I, didn't want rain as we are having a new roof put on our summerhouse. I have been out for a while this morning but now that I am back they seem to have managed to get it covered just as the rain started.  Already it is looking much smarter. Right!  A member showcase. Good afternoon everyone & what another beautiful day. I am so sad that I cannot go out in it. I did sit out in the garden for quite a while yesterday - but in the shade just outside our summer house.  Today I have photos of a recent birthday card I made - it was for our Daughter-in-law's son & Gareth's stepson, who was 15 at the weekend. This card is a new fold flat card that I discovered This view is it laying flat on my desk. This is a view from the front of it standing up. This is a view looking down onto the top of the box shape. I will be bringing this project to your meetings.  I say "I will" - but in June one of the CSNW ladies is going to show it to that group. So I will see if I can manage to get to the one, or both, of the Mold groups to show it - or I may have to ask a "pretty please" of someone if I can't! Enjoy what remains of this lovely weekend.
