Can you solve this puzzle?
Hi ladies
Well! I was going to tell you all about my day out with Gareth - but various things have overtaken that today.
Whilst "the boys" were watching the rugby I spent some time doing some family history research for Caroline to try & complete my research to a point where I could print her book. That is one of the worst things to do - because you carry on researching things you haven't looked at yet.
Anyway that has nothing to do with the question in the title of this post. Somehow, after dinner Gareth, Bob & I got talking about some strange things - as you do. This included Gareth talking about a programme he watched around the early 80's (but could have been an earlier programme - but thinks it was around 1983 weekly) - & Bob remembers watching it with him. It had something to do with a wooden cuckoo clock (not an animation) that had the "weather" couple come out of it. He has ruled out that it was a programme called "The Brollies". So after dinner this evening has been spent with the 3 of us, sat at our various Internet connections searching for this programme. Personally I have run out of the different ways you can word the question - "can you name the children's TV programme in the 80's that featured a cuckoo clock & a weather couple".
Please, please put me out of my misery - you must have watched. Gareth seems to remember that it might have been part of a children's programme. The presenter used to say - "It's time for ................... & let's see what Mr & Mrs xxxxxx have to say". It seems the clock was one of those weather products you used to be able to buy where the man & women were on an elastic band where the weather affected which one would come out first. I remember my Mum had one & the colour of their clothes also altered to blue for wet/damp day & pink for a dry day. But this particular clock also had a cuckoo in the top of it - like a cuckoo clock. It appears that when then hands of the clock reached a certain time, the people came out in appropriate clothing for the weather - then went back in & then the cuckoo popped out.
Just a lovely family evening has been enjoyed - BUT PLEASE PLEASE solve the problem for me.
Proper blogging tomorrow - well craft blogging that is.
Night night - sleep well. Hope you are having a good weekend.
