just chatting
Good evening ladies
Before I tell you about my day I must welcome some new followers. I spotted today that there are now 10 followers - so welcome to Stella, Jeanette, Sheelagh & Patricia. Thank you for becoming followers & I hope you enjoy your visits.
So! today - well I had a very nice time out with Sue. The first thing we did was pop along to Burley Dam & take a nose at their new Craft Centre that had opened on Saturday. A bit disappointing! They have a very nice open large space but as yet not much stock in it & what stock they have there are only small amounts. I know it is early days - but they didn't even have the stock from one of the biggest suppliers of craft items - Docrafts. There was a big empty space with a notice saying that Docraft stock would be coming shortly. Might have been wiser to wait until that stock was there? Still who I am to know.
Having had a good look around the rest of the garden centre we stopped for lunch & had a long break with a good old natter. Sue had recently had a weekend away at a Snowdonia craft course centre - so had a lot to tell me about. We also spent time discussing a workshop for you all - so I need to find out when for Mold & Mold II the Parkfields Community Centre has Saturday's available. Then I also need to find out the same at Rhuddlan Community Centre for CSNW.
After that we drove just a short way down the A41 & popped into Creative Pastimes. I needed another "bag" for my Promarkers. Bag is not a good description it is a bit like a knitting needle roll & holds 15 pens.
So as you will guess with all that time running around no crafting done today. Except I guess for my quick look around my favourite blogs to see what everyone else is up to. One that I visit from time to time has a special day - Wednesday - with a WOYWW theme (stands for Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday). Ladies blog about what is on their desk & enter a link on this lady's blog. Then everyone can go & have a look. I nearly put a photo of my desk on there, as this morning it looked particularly busy - hmmm! for busy read untidy, but in getting ready to go out with Sue did not leave myself enough time to do it. So I might join in next week.
I am part way making a card for another challenge blog & hope to finish it tomorrow - so will show you a photo when done.
Yesterday I mentioned the card I had made at the HSNW evening on Monday - I really did enjoy making it & hope tomorrow to produce a couple more cards along the same theme - so watch this space.
I think that is me for tonight. More tomorrow.
Night night.

Thanks for the report on the new craft centre at Burley Dam, wont bother making a special trip out there just yet then. I hope they do get their Docraft stuff in quickly, they're having an 'event' there in 10 days - given by a Docrafts Demonstrator :)
