just chatting
Hi everyone
I hope you all had a good weekend & did something exciting.
On Saturday we had a lovely drive over to Staffordshire to the village where Bob's parents are buried. We took a really nice scenic drive & as the sun was out the countryside looked absolutely lovely. After laying flowers down at the cemetery we popped in to see Bob's brother who doesn't live far from there. He hasn't been well recently so we didn't stay too long so as not to tire him. After that we drove to the pub where we were meeting friends & had a really long leisurely meal with lots of chatting.
Yesterday we decided to have a relatively quiet day, which was rather nice.
So far today I have made up the cards for the table names & made a layout for the hotel. we weren't going to do that to start with, but then realised we could have a couple going to the table & finding that there were not 2 vacant seats together. So table places it is. Really now it is all little jobs to do towards the wedding. Putting the ribbon around the cake boards; putting some flowers on the basket that will be there for any cards we may be sent or given - so that it ties in with everything else; placing the flowers on the cakes (day before probably). Then on the Wednesday afternoon we have to take to the hotel - the table centres, tea-lights, table layout, menu cards, name cards & the cakes. Think that's it! But I am sure there are other things.
That is it for today - I am afraid at the moment I don't have any crafting chat as I am not doing anything myself. Although having said that there are some anniversary & birthday cards to make. Perhaps later in the week.
Ooh - just remembered. I received one of my papercraft magazines on Saturday & having a read of it yesterday spotted that 2 of the Mold II ladies had cards featured again. Will scan those & put them here later.
'Bye for now.
