Catching up
Hi everyone
I am sorry I haven't posted since Friday but it has been a little busy these last few days - plus for some reason or other I have been having several migraine headaches. I get the sort where I get the flashing lights before my eyes. This makes life very difficult as I inevitably get a "blind" spot in my vision so I am unable to read or write or blog.
Also I have had a phone call from my brother who is going to try & visit us on the weekend of the stamp festival - so I have had to sort more craft boxes that are still unpacked in order to put the bed down for him. So! today Bob put the bed together for me & I was so pleased when it fitted exactly into the space I had allocated for it. Just in case you have forgotten - it is in my craft room.
There are still boxes to unpack but at least I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The good thing about the bed is it has 2 large drawers under it - so to at least get it reasonably tidy for my brothers visit - I can throw things in those for now.
I have quite a lot of things that I will be selling off - some of it I will bring to the club meetings & some I will photograph & put the photo here to see if anyone would be interested in them.
Catching up with general news - I enjoyed my workshop on Zentangle on Friday & certainly found more ideas. We made a heart ornament (one of those papier mache shapes) which had been painted with white acrylic paint for us to zentangle on top. Unfortunately the pens we were give (promarkers) bled a lot on the acrylic paint, which upset the tutor as she had been assured it would work ok. I managed to decorate mine using the zentangle pen - which took a bit longer & came out reasonably well. Then we also decorated a greetings card that had a design stamped on it ready for us. I will be putting the card together hopefully later today so I will then photograph it & put in on here. The first part of the lesson was spent at looking how some patterns were created & practising them on a practise sheet which was good.
On Saturday afternoon we met up with Gareth & his young lady Elayne, along with her 10-year old sun Ewan. We had lunch at the Cheshire Cat & spent a really nice couple of hours together. Elayne's mum is a stamper & craft lady & has never been to Port Sunlight - so she is visiting for the first time this year. I am not "working" on the Saturday - so it should be good going around with someone - although I am sure she will also drift around on her own.
Right! that catches up with what I have been doing - I will be back again very shortly with a separate posting.
'Bye for now.
