Tonight I have another member showcase for you & it is, once again, from Rita of Mold II club.
Here is what Rita said in her email;
"Here is a card I have made for my sons girlfriend, she has a horse and 2 dogs and will be 40 they will be spending in London at the horse event.
Have a nice Christmas I see you are still doing some Chrissy cards, one of my friends she said in January that she was going to make 3 Christmas cards every month, think she did it for the first month, so last time I spoke to her she was having to get a load done.
I did start in October this year as I knew we would be going away for a week in November, but I don’t send everyone a homemade one.
I don’t know if I told you this already but I took 2 of my homemade cards to be posted and they said £2.80 each, I brought them back and did a re vamp this postage system is no good for us card makers."
You are absolutely right Rita, but I would hate to see a time when people stopped sending cards. We will just have to use our creative skills to make them brilliant, but flattish.
Oops, nearly forgot - here is the card;
What a lovely card I am sure she will be delighted to receive it.
Now, ladies, as it gets closer to Christmas my posting will be a little sporadic, which I am sure you will understand. I don't want to just blog about my shopping - so will pop in when there is something to tell you. Perhaps, like Rita, you have some cards you can send in. In fact, I think I have been sent something I haven't shown yet. Must go & check - if I am right will blog it tomorrow.
Night night.
I had a shock at the post office too with some of my cards - the ones to the USA! I'd made them as flat as possible so most cost about £1.30 but two of them (one was to my son so it's worth it) were a little heavier and cost £2.18 each! Strangely, the ones crossing the same ocean to get here cost them the equivalent of about 70p! Go figure?
