Christmas 2
Good afternoon ladies
Well! what a variety of weather we are having today. I popped own to Asda this morning & got covered in snow, then by the time I came out with my shopping it was pouring with rain. During the afternoon we have had more rain, sometimes with hailstones & then a short while ago - a burst of sunshine! Don't you just love our weather.
Well I have continued what I started - even though it is only one card, but I have made another Christmas card;
Well! what a variety of weather we are having today. I popped own to Asda this morning & got covered in snow, then by the time I came out with my shopping it was pouring with rain. During the afternoon we have had more rain, sometimes with hailstones & then a short while ago - a burst of sunshine! Don't you just love our weather.
Well I have continued what I started - even though it is only one card, but I have made another Christmas card;
This time it is a white square card & the image I have used is an Indigo-Blu stamp & greeting. I stamped the image & greeting in Versamark & then heat embossed with gold EP. I then cut them out using my faithful old deckle edged scissors. I embossed a square of white card with an all over holly design & layered that onto a piece of textured gold paper. The tree I placed on sticky pads to raise it a little from the background. There are 7 gold gems on the card - 5 of them are on the dot swirls on the right hand side & the other 2 are in the centre of the top 2 snowflakes.
Let me see - last year I made about 135 Christmas cards. There are now 273 days to the end of November. So! if I could make one a day I would be well in hand even allowing for holidays & other events - like birthdays, anniversaries, samples etc to make cards for, as well as unexpected ones. I have today been asked if I would make a 100th birthday card - so that will mean a break from Christmas right away.
Still its all good fun & keeps the brain working.
That's me for today - off to CSNW meeting this evening.
I'm impressed! I haven't made any yet this year - strange for me.
