my second heart

Good morning ladies

Popping in quickly before going out for most of the day in order to show you my second heart that I decorated - rather differently to the first one.  Also before going out I will be loading last night's photos onto my computer & will put the Show & Tell photos here later.

I covered the heart with black gesso (it took 2 coats), then stamped the sentiment on the right hand side in white gesso.  I have to admit I took a couple of practice attempts on thick card to see how the gesso worked & to see how much I needed on the stamp.  By the way it is important to wash the gesso off as soon as you have stamped.  When I was happy with my technique I stamped it on the heart.

Recently I have been playing, again, with air drying clay & made these lovely flowers & leaves (& lots of other pieces). So I painted them with white gesso to make them whiter & then painted them again with white acrylic paint.  After gluing them onto the heart I then used an embossing tool with a reasonably small ball end, dipped in white acrylic paint to create the dots around the edge.  Black & white ribbon for the hanger completed the task.

Right - I had better get ready to go out.  Have a good day - back soon.
'Bye.

  1. Very 'different' for you Gloria - I love it :)....now that sounds bad, like I don't love all you do!! Didn't mean it like that at all.
