Hi everyone I hope you have all had a good weekend.  I don't have any photos for you yet as I am still sorting through them, resizing & brightening.  But should have some tomorrow. I had a little me time this afternoon whilst Bob was watching rugby & started to sort your progammes for April through to June.  Then when I had done that I joined in my regular CD challenge.  I have missed a couple of weeks & only managed last weeks on Saturday morning.  So I pulled my finger out & got this weeks sorted today.  If you want to see what I got up to pop over to my digital blog via the link at the side of the screen. Well! that is all I popped in to say today - more tomorrow along with photos. Night night.

mold photos - part 1

Good evening ladies I hope you have had a good day. Tonight I am showing you the photos from the Mold meeting, last Thursday, of their Show & Tell where the theme was "Polka Dots".  There have been some interesting interpretations. Isn't she delightful?  A very clever use of the polka dot theme. Here also - very clever use of polka dots & some layering - I am sure I once wore a dress like that. This is really clever - aren't those flowers great? Now we have an aah moment.  That dot embossing folder is so useful - everyone should have one. You need to look closely at this one - there is so much going on. Polka dots interpreted in many way. This one also.  You look at this one & think ............ I wonder what else she is going to do? Love the way these layers have been done & their complimentary flowers. Amazing! I love the fact that the circular Tonic Verso die has been used along with stamp...

Hi everyone Well - Bob had his first real full day out today & seems to have been OK. We drove over to the village where he lived as a child & many of his family still live - Gnosall in Staffordshire, & we took Russ & Nadine out with us too. As it was a rather pleasant day we took a lovely drive all round the back country lanes - really pretty, except for those areas & fields that are sadly drenched with swollen rivers & all this rain.  But if you look beyond that you can see the start of spring trying to peek out everywhere.  There were loads of snowdrops everywhere & some areas have crocuses & daffodils well on the way.  So here's hoping spring is around the corner. As we usually do when we go over to Gnosall we visited his parents grave & put some flowers down. Then we went to visit one of his brothers who has not been too well & is in a residential home. Fortunately at the time we visited, his wife was there visiting him as...

Good evening everyone - I have a member showcase for you tonight - I am so pleased that you are sending in photos of cards that you have been making, for me to show here.  Thank you. The ones tonight are recent cards made by Carolyn of Mold II club; A very delicate Christmas card - now I wonder if that is one towards 2014 Christmas? This is lovely - don't those flowers look great on the die-cut. Beautiful.  Carolyn - is that sentiment a stamp? Aah! I haven't seen a Bookatrix for ages. I haven't made one for ages either - I think it's the only Glitter Girls board I hung on to. Very elegant. Carolyn - they are all lovely - thank you for showing them. It was Mold club meeting tonight - so I will have photos from that for you.  There are quite a lot as there are the ones of the Show & Tell also the Project for this evening.  Then as well as that there are four sets 2013 projects to show you.  That will take me a b...

Hi everyone - I hope you have had a good day O dear - I am still having tis problem with the letter h on my laptop.  Only two errors in tis sentence.  Oops! now it is three.  Ha ha - but it is a pain really.  Not sure what I am going to do about it. Anyway - I tought  ( I saw a puddy tat - hmm! - this is really weird) Let's try & get a bit serious now.  Tonight I am going to show you the card I made for Gareth & Elayne on the occasion of their engagement. I used a white 5x5 scalloped edge card with a silver layer on top of which I placed a piece of white card which I had embossed with one of my embossing folders.  It just happened to have hearts on it. I then die cut 2 hearts - one with an embossed pattern to one side & one with lacy cutouts.  The lacy one I cut in white & layered onto a silver heart.  The embossed one I cut & embossed on silver then using a peel off alphabet I laid the name Gareth & ...

a valentines card

Good evening everyone. Well, today Bob took his first long trip out - the first in 10 weeks.  He has been as far as Asda & Tesco but this trip was all the way to his office in Crewe.  As he is still not 100% comfortable - I went along with him in case he got over tired & I could then drive back.  But he managed OK. So - now that Valentine's Day is reasonably well past I can show you the card I made for him. Sorry! - no stamping I used an A6 card with scalloped edge & trimmed a piece of gold miri card with some fancy cut scissors that were a similar shape to the card edging.  I used a combination embossing folder/die cut on the red card.  The pattern is embossed but the heart image is die cut.  I raised the red heart on sticky pads over the aperture, cut another one in gold, took the curly pieces out of both hearts & swapped them round.  The gold heart was then put at the bottom corner of the card & the sentiment greetin...

Good afternoon everyone - how are you all? I am popping in this afternoon to show you a photo of a wedding card that I have just received from Betty of Mold II club.  Here it is; I think this a really clever card - I love it!  You all know how much I like the CAS (Clean & Simple) styles, then of course - its black & white as well!! Well done Betty - I might have to pinch that idea one day :)
