Good morning everyone - its a bit of a grey & wet one, isn't it? This morning I have the second set of photos from the Mold meeting last Thursday.  This time they are of their project for the evening, which was set by Joanna. Thank you to Joanna for once again taking the photos & sending them on to me.  Basically there were about 2 of each as Joanna took them flat & standing up.  I am probably going to show the ones where they are standing up. Good morming everyone Over the weekend I received the photos of the Mold club (Thursday) meeting from Joanna & today I have the first set to show you.  They are of their Show & Tell cards where Joanna had set the theme of "Trees". Thank you very much for the photos Joanna. Here we go - the cards & a really lovely mix of styles. Janet I wold call this mixed media. There is stencilling,  masking, script & tree stamps. Great card Joan Don't you just want to stop doing what you are doing & take a walk along that footpath, & isn't that sentiment so true Joanna Ooh - I like the wood background - very different & that tree stencil too. .... that was yesterday - (Thursday) Good morning everyone. Yes a day of two halves.  In the morning I had my 4-weekly visit to the oncology department. All was well with my blood tests so I could go ahead & have my injection & pick up my medication for the next 4 weeks. As we left the hospital we decided to stop somewhere for a light lunch to save cooking later as in the evening it was the Mold club final meeting for this year. During the drive home after lunch I began to feel very uncomfortable with a dreadful stomach ache. On arriving back home I found I couldn't sit or stand comfortably - so I took myself off for a lie down in the hope it would ease. But unfortunately no it didn't. So I had to make the decision of not being able to go to the Mold meeting.  There was stuff they needed - like the Schloer, Christmas cards & information for the January meeting.  Where would I be without Bob - he took all the things down to the meeting for me, giving ...

My craft room as I make my Christmas cards, & various birthday cards that are due next month. prepared pieces tools ready stamps & things ready heat gun ready & some card colouring items ready more stamps what I might use next & yes it spreads as far as the spare bed, & amazingly I still have spare work space! A tidy persons nightmare.   But I know where it all is & it will get used then put away, which is when I usually cannot always remember where I put it.  Although I have emptied one of my many boxes & labelled it Christmas - so I should know where to find it if I use some of it again next year. Good evening all I am sorry that I haven't had much to say over the last few days but I have been busy making Christmas cards & of course, as some of them will be for you, I cannot show you what I have been doing.  But I do have a couple of cards to show you that were made for birthdays earlier this month; Here is the first one - This was for our son-in-law, who lives in the USA, for his birthday. I decided to use a newish collage stamp I have & also just one colour. I used one of the Adirondack ink pads - I think Caramel or Ginger. Here is the second card -  This one is for our daughter-in-law, Nadine - who had a birthday earlier this month. The images & background card is from Hunkydory. Today I took some photos of my workspace which I thought you might to have a laugh at - I might show you tomorrow. I hope you are all having a great weekend. That's all from me today.  'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone - this afternoon I have the second sets of photos from the CSNW meeting last Wednesday & they are of their project.  The project that evening was the Fun Fold Domed card. Here are the photos; Ann There is no doubt about it - black card for layers really makes things pop on cards. That swirly patterned background paper that Ann chose works well with the black. Claire Really elegant colour combination from Claire & that double butterfly on the spine is just perfect. Elvena Elvena's choice of paper & card shows how well this design works with whatever your choice of materials & colour. Looks great. Grace Grace also matted her cream card onto black card - it always looks elegant & crisp & clean. Good evening everyone.  My! what some weather we are having - Thursday it absolutely poured with rain, Friday was a beautiful sunny day & then at the start of yesterday we had snow!!!!!!! Ah well, on with the interesting stuff. Today I have the first set of photos from Wednesday's CSNW club meeting & they are of their Show & Tell cards. To aid the creation of the card I gave everyone 3 butterfly toppers - from Crafty Individuals- here's a photo of the kind of thing I mean......................... ..................................... & here are their cards Ann Ann gave her card the mixed media touch. I love the jigsaw pieces for texture & that she cut out one of the butterflies from its piece. Claire Claire put her butterflies onto a waterfall design for her card front.
