2012 project - CSNW - Joan - part 1
As promised here are the photos from Joan's 2012 project. I think you will find that Joan covered just about every type of card making style along with some techniques & more. The challenge CSNW chose for the 2012 challenge was a card for every letter of the alphabet.
As there are quite a lot of photos I have split them in to 2 sets - but they are still in alphabetical order

A for Aperture. I just about caught the little owl as he swung round.
B for Black & White. It also has a little box frame on it too.
C for Cracker & I think Joan used the Wendy Stenton template
D for Diamond top card. Love that trellis.
E for Embossing (that's the embossing folder type)
F for Flowersoft. Love that street lamp stamp
G for Gatefold card - this is a really special one too.
the gatefold with the gates closed.
H for Handbag card - that is a really nice shape
I for Incire. This is where cuts are made in a design & the pieces link
(the e at the end of Incire should have an accent above it but this programme cannot deal with that)
J is for Jigsaw card - love the sentiment that goes with it - very apt.
K is for Keepsake Boards.
L is for Lace (& again there should be an accent above the e). The lace is in the pale blue medallion in the centre. Another stencil that you cut through then link & overlap the cuts together. Sort of weaving.
M is for Mola. This is a technique with another stencil. The shape is cut out as you in the cream card then other colours are placed underneath & part of the design cut away leaving a border.
This stencil technique was adapted from the rich embroidery style of the Kuna or Cuna Indians in Panama,
I found this picture of the embroidery on Google. You can see where the template idea fits in.
N is for Never Ending card & this is a big big card.
another of the faces
and again
and the final one before returning to the start again.
Right I am off to load the second half of this project. Back in a short while.
