wedding diary - page 4

Good evening everyone - although if I stay up much longer it will be - good morning everyone.

Most of today has been spent with Nadine checking my ideas for the flowers for the table decorations & starting to put them together to see if the ideas work.

We had a successful day & the main item we worked on was the large table centre that will also be on the registrars table during the ceremony.  For a while it was difficult getting the format from my head to my finger tips to make it come into fruition.  I am using silk/fabric flowers & they come on thick plastic stems - so I strip them from most of the plastic & get rid of any parts I do not want to use.  But those stems are sometimes hard.  So even though I have good wire cutters my right hand has taken a hammering today & is causing me quite a lot of pain.  Still it should be worth it.

I don't want to give too much away before the day - but I can show you some of the flowers

Here they are along with some other items in the plastic storage boxes, after having been stripped of most of the excess leaves etc.  Although at the bottom of that right hand box are all the rose leaves as back up for "filling"..,.....

....... & here is a close up of some of them that may be used.  That is all you are getting to see until afterwards.

Nadine is coming round again on Friday & we are going to complete the main table centre & hopefully also make up the small table decorations that will be placed around the tables.

Tomorrow I hope to be working on the sugar paste roses & flowers for the cake.

Thursday is a busy non-crafting day for me - with the exception of the Mold February meeting in the evening - so once again before I know it another week has gone.

I hope you have all had a good day - wasn't it lovely to see the sunshine?

More tomorrow.
