A little more info

Having written the first post in the new layout & taken a look at it I find there are a couple of other things to point out to you.

The first item is at the top left of the header & you will see a block of 3 horizontal lines.  Clicking on this opens up a side menu on the left of the screen.  There are 2 option - Archive & Labels.

The Archive option is probably the most useful option as this means you can quickly get to something you remember at a particular point of time.  It used to be shown on the right hand side of the posts in the old layout & shows each year broken down into each month.

The Labels option means a post can be found according to the "label" I added to the end of the post. I didn't actually keep to the same label for similar posts - so not quite so useful.

Also at the top of the header on the right-hand side is a little magnifying glass. This is a Search aid. When you click on it it slides across to the left side of the header & gives you a line on which to enter your search criteria. I don't know how useful it will be - so try it if you wish.  I haven't done so yet, because when  saw it whilst I was setting up the new look I thought it was something just for me to use behind the scenes.  But it isn't, you also have access to it.

Wow! that was a lot of information. Hope it make sense.

So! Happy New Year everyone. Please continue to stay safe & well & lets hope this will be a year that will begin to put us back to some sort of normality.
