One of my recent projects

Good afternoon everyone. Well! that scorcher day has fizzled out a bit, hasn't it?  It's quite cloudy & overcast here now. A while back I showed you photos of an album I made to hold the photos from our Christmas away from home 2019.  Since making that one it has really whet my appetite to make more.  So since then I have made one to hold the best of our grandsons first year photos, & one to hold the photos of a day out in 2018 when I gave Bob a day out on a veteran train for his birthday. I had made a small album for that day out - but not very well it appears, as when I went to check it to make the next one similar it was disintegrating.  Not good news.  So, I made a new one in my more sturdy method. But I am not going to show you that today - instead I am going to show you a folder that I made to hold some of my clear stamps; Folder closed Blank folder open - with left & centre pages - raw pages. Folder open - with right page & inside of flap - raw pages. Pag

A little play time

Good morning everyone. I thought you might like to see what I have been doing over the last few days.  I didn't sit all day doing this - it was spread across little spells over 2 or 3 days. I absolutely love John Next Door dies, especially his flower stamp & die sets.  So it is the flowers I have been playing with.  I hadn't used them for quite a while so thought I would have a play.    These flowers are from his Christmas Rose die & I tried it out on several different card surfaces & also on some plain coloured paper. The ones with the vein markings I used the stamps as well - the others just the die on its own. These are made with his Cornflower die.  It has a matching stamp but I just used the die on different papers & card.  The bottom right set were cut from black card & then I brushed them over with Mica Magic powders. These flowers, & quite a few more, I had die cut when I first got the dies, but had not put them all together.  So I did that yeste

Mold II photos

Good evening everyone - I trust you are all well. Tonight I have the Show & Tell from the Mold II ladies this month.  The subject was chosen by Rita & it was to make a handbag card, or a handbag shape on a card - or some other type of handbag dependant on what everyone had been doing. Here are what the ladies sent in; Annette Annette used her Wendy Stenton handbag template. She then embossed the front & the silver butterfly on the flap Annette's bag has an explosion insert. Great idea. Carolyn Carolyn used a Carnation Cards die with coloured vignette. A real wow image. side view Ceri Instead of a card card - Ceri & her Mum did some sewing crafting. Dot of our club being Ceri's Mum This one Dot made to hold a bottle of wine for Ceri & her husband's  10th wedding anniversary. This one Cer made for Father's Day for her Dad and................ ................ she made a sour dough loaf to go in it. Hmm, very tasty looking. Dot Dot made this rea

A recent card

Good morning ladies! Well, I hadn't noticed that it had been so long since I last posted something.  But I have been busy with a couple of things & the first one I will show you today. Recently it was our lovely grandson's third birthday - so brain put in gear to come up with a suitable card. Here it is - he loved it, Gareth & Elayne said, & that is the most important thing, isn't it? He loves Dougie & I managed to find some royalty free images. I didn't fill the card as much as I have done with this style in the past. I wanted him to be able to see all the little characters. As well as that card - my main project has been another memory album - Well 2 in fact - I will show you some photos of that perhaps tomorrow. Also I used the memory album idea for stamp storage - so will show you those as well soon.  I really have had my time taken over with these albums I just love making them. Next idea - well, I will show you that when

Good afternoon everyone. Another weekend is with us - don't even notice the difference between weekdays - do you? The Show & Tell challenge that was put out by Rachel for last Thursday was a card inspired by packaging in the home. I for one went into panic mode - but as always happens - something leaps out at you. Fortunately for me not literally.  We were asked to photograph our inspiration item as well. Some are in separate photos & some are photographed together. Here are the cards they made; Ann Ooh! I can taste the chocolate, both the real bar & Ann's card version Janet This is such a fresh design from an aptly chosen package. Joan Hmm! Looking at that packet I wonder how many biscuits were  consumed in the interest of card making?? Joanna I believe Joanna said she had dies that replicated that shape in the label. Lynn Lynn sent 2 photos of her inspiration, as you might guess in the second photo the packet
