Image
Edited - 29 Feb - see below Good afternoon everyone. This time I have the second set of photos from Tuesday's Mold II club night & they are of their project for the evening which was given by Rita. Once again Rita brought a little different project - she is having a house built & not wanting to waste anything has been using off-cuts of skirting board etc to create little works of art.  So she provided everyone with a piece of wood. Here are the photos & again, as I wasn't there not really able to add comments, but I think you will agree they all speak for themselves.  Also that evening we had 4 possibly 5 of new ladies join us. One of our new ladies.  I hope you  enjoyed the evening Ceri. Another of the new ladies I hope that you too enjoyed the evening Agnes. Gwyn I hope that you too enjoyed your evening. Olwen I hope you enjoyed your evening as well. I hope you enjoyed your evenin

Hope this will make you laugh

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are having a good day. This afternoon I have the first set of photos from last night's Mold II meeting & they are of their Show & Tell card - an Egg card for Easter. As I was not present at the meeting I may not make any comments; An outside & inside photo of Carolyn's card. The pop-up element inside the card is probably going to be a project one month in the future. now follows some stand alone egg shaped cards What a lovely little clutch of eggs. Fantastic cards ladies - loved them. That is all for today.  Tomorrow I will show the photos of their project - which was rather different.

Good morning everyone.  How nice to see the sunshine again, although I believe it will rain before the end of the day. This morning I have the second set of photos from Thursday's Mold club meeting & the project was set by Joanna.  A split panel card. I was sorry to miss this project but hope that Joanna will save me the instructions. Joanna was also kind enough to give me a little bit of information about them which was very helpful. Those cakes look delicious almost good enough to eat. Love the background Rhiannon.   I understand you were not feeling too well - so I hope you are better now. Mair used fancy edge scissors to cut her mat & triangles. How many of us have got those scissors & rarely use them. My favourite is the deckle edge one Two cards from Sheelagh - carrying on the coffee & cream colours from  the Show & Tell by the look of it Love the wavy edge - which is carried through to the mat. Joanna noted it is

Coffee & cream taken literally, love it Mair This is lovely Joanna - & it gives an insight to the project card. Another elegant card - that is lovely Rhiannon What a beautiful die-cut Maureen - lovely card. This is 2 views of Sheelagh's card - the teepee card.  It's fantastic. Sad News

Good morning ladies. Yesterday I heard the very sad news that on Thursday afternoon Hayley, a member of the CSNW group, lost her battle with cancer. Hayley fought this terrible disease with such grace & was so kind to me when I was diagnosed.  She will be sadly missed & leaves a void in our group.

Update

Hi everyone I am sorry I have not written anything for nearly a week, but I have been in hospital. The gall bladder problem I had just before Christmas decided to put in another appearance at the weekend. I will keep this as brief as I can - Saturday afternoon through the night to Sunday morning I was in A&E at the Countess.  They said I needed an ultrasound, gave me antibiotics & pain killers & sent me home saying an appoint for scan would come in the post. Monday afternoon, through the night into Tuesday afternoon & spent the time in A&E in Glan Clwyd.  (18 hours at each one 😖), both times on trolleys.  At GC I was sent up to a ward & given IV antibiotics & pain killers.  I saw lots of Drs & was told the gall bladder had to come out but first the infection/inflammation had to go.  I had an ultrasound & there are gall stones. Finally they decided to send me home this afternoon.  The inflammation has not come down enough & I guess they nee

another recent card

Good afternoon ladies (& gent's if any are reading this). Happy Valentines Day to you all - I hope you had nice cards & perhaps some other nice surprises as well.  I was a very lucky lady - I had a beautiful card & 24 red roses. This afternoon I have another one of my recently made cards.  This one was for a friend who lives in France. She is the owner, along with her husband, of the gite where we visit in Brittany with whom we have become great friends. Having started to use stencils on a coupe of my recent cards I decided to make this card with just one stencil. I must have had this stencil a couple of years now & not used it - I am sure it is one of Barbara Grays.  I used Distress Inks through the stencil & was looking for quite a light "sponged" look.  After stamping the Happy Birthday in the corner I felt that there was something else needed.  There was a set of stamps sitting on my desk & amongst them was this little butterfly.  Ju

Items no longer required

Good afternoon everyone - I hope you are all still safe in this weather. I have some items in my craft room that are surplus to requirements. I have 2 craft totes which I have not used in ages so feel they should go to another craft home & be used & loved.  This is what I have - A carry tote - lilac/black front which has 2 very useful plastic storage boxes in the bottom section back you can see the little pockets that are on each side. A Wheelie Tote  - greeny blue front looking side - 3 sections side view one side view two They are for sale at a very reasonable price - not giving them away but not expensive either. The lilac one I have had quite a few years but it has not been used in ages.  The greeny blue one on wheels is a more recent purchase but I have barely used it. If interested - email me or leave a comment on blog. That's me for today - I am off to have a play in my craft room. 'By
