catching up

Hello everyone.  I thought it was time I caught up with things so that you know what is going on. I mentioned in a post a few days ago I wasn't feeling too good so to excuse me if I didn't pop in & write much. Well I haven't had the best of weekends. I spent about 5 hours in A&E at Glan Clwyd on Saturday evening & again on Sunday evening. As a summary - I have to watch my temperature at the moment because my immune markers in my blood test last Thursday were low.  So naturally I have been doing this - then on Saturday they spiked somewhat so we were advised for me to go to A&E. After blood tests & basically an MOT I was told I could go home but to get in touch if things didn't improve or if they got worse. Sunday, taking my temperature again in the late afternoon they had spiked even higher.  So back to A & E.  This time when they did the blood test they also put me on a IV antibiotic & fluids. That must have taken just over an hour to

Mold II photo - late arrival

Yesterday I received an email from Dot of Mold II club with a photo of her Show & Tell card for last Tuesdays meeting which she had been unable to attend due to the weather. In her email Dot said;; "Hi Gloria, here's my show and tell card which I'd forgotten to send you. The butterflies  were stamped onto acetate and glittered....these were made by Carolyn several years ago which  she had kindly given to me and went so well with the papers I had chosen.   I stamped out the verse and coloured the butterflies with gel pens, and then inked in the butterfly trails with an ultra fine pen. I really liked this design and will keep it in mind for when I get crafter's block, which I get quite often!  Dot x" Thank you for sending the photo to me Dot. I have some member showcases for you which I will post over the next few days.  They are very handy at the moment seeing as I am not 100% - I don't have to think so much.  That doesn't

Mold II - photos - late arrival

Good morning everyone I received an email yesterday from Carolyn of Mold II club, attaching a photo of her card she had made for Tuesday's meeting Show & Tell. Due to the weather Carolyn had not made it to club night. Here is her card; In the email Carolyn said "I used  Honeydoo butterflies stamp and outline die, coloured in with their mica powders.  The diagonal is a piece of vellum embossed with butterflies and coloured with purple distress ink, please note there are 2 lots of stamping on it!!! " Thank you for sending it in Caroline - its very pretty & delicate.   I love Honeydoo stamps, especially when they have matching dies, & their mica powders - but I haven't got that butterfly one. This morning I went along to the hospital for my check - but my bloods were not right &so I couldn't be given the injection & medication.  They were probably affected by this cough & sniffle I have got.  Also my temperature was

Mold II photos - part 2

Hello everyone. As I am writing this on Wednesday afternoon I have no idea what the weather is like. The photos I have for you today are of the project from Tuesday nights meeting of the Mold II club. This was a little card called "Envelope Flap Card". Now, I have 2 little stories about the meeting & the card.  Firstly as I mentioned in yesterday's post I had had a text message from Helen to say she was not well enough to go to the meeting, she was also checking if it was this Tuesday or next Tuesday.  It was then that I realised that in my head it was next Tuesday, even though it was on the blog for the right day.  If I hadn't had that text from Helen I might not have gone to the meeting - I think that is the one & only time I have had the dates confused in all the time the clubs have been going. So, secondly, the next stage is that in the morning I went into panic mode as I hadn't made a sample card yet because I thought I had another week.  I ha

Mold II ph0tos - part 1

Good morning everyone. Well it's a lot brighter this morning than it was yesterday.  I hope you haven't had too much snow & that if you have it clears quickly.  So take care when you are out & about. Last night was the first meeting of 2019 for the Mold II ladies.  I had received an apology from Helen on Monday night to say she was unwell.  Then yesterday I had an email from Carolyn stating she & Dot would not be there as they were concerned more about the journey home later in the evening.  As also was Rita who also sent me an email.  So I knew it was going to be small group, but went along to see who did arrive. Apologies were sent from Sue who was unwell.  It ended up with there being 6 ladies present plus myself - so we decided to ho ahead with the evening - especially as 2 ladies had come a distance.  Bob took me so we asked him to keep an eye on the weather for us & if it changed drastically we would call a stop to the evening. As it was we got through

Good morning everyone - well it was when I started typing - but I think it could ow be afternoon by the time I finish. Today I have a lot of photos to show you, all very similar as you will already be aware.  But the reason I wanted to show them is for you to see the sheer volume of samples that were made & in fact there was probably more because I don't think I caught them all. They were all along the window sill with the exception of those in the last photo - they were on the floor beside the person creating them. That is all for today.  I am going to update the club pages as far as I can ow. 'Bye.
