Special message for Mold II ladies

Good evening. I have just seen an email from Elizabeth (Bennett) & put it here; "Hello all,  just thought you may like to know - my hip replacement has been brought forward to Monday 4th March. Received a call late this morning and have spent the rest of the day re-organising all the events and appointments, that were arranged over the next 3 weeks! Will let you know when it is all done. Love to all [really enjoyed Tuesday night] Elizabeth. I don't know if she sent it to all of you via email - but if you know people who dont read the blog - please let them know the new information. Thank you.

Mold II photos - part 1

Good afternoon everyone. Well! where has the sunshine gone?  I believe its going to stay wet today & then be dryer for the next few days but not so much sunshine.  Shame. Today I have the first set of photos from Tuesdays Mold II meeting & they are of their Show & Tell for the evening.  The theme was a tag using home found items as stamps and / or embellishments. Here we go - uhmm, we did have a bit a laugh over some................................ Elizabeth made a tag card with some corrugated card as an embellishment & a tongue depressor with some brads on it (Elizabeth was a nurse) & other bits & pieces of twine.   The background pattern was made with the lid of her glue tube & the raised dots you can see are blobs of glue sprinkled with grit for texture.  I can't remember what the silver item is inside the little envelope - sorry.   It would appear that Sue & Carol crafted together on this one.   Sue's is the

Good afternoon everyone & am back with the second set of photos from the Mold meeting held last Thursday (21st).  The photos are of their project for the evening where I introduced sepia (or any other colour) watercolour monochrome technique. Here are their projects; Clare's card looks as if it is in shades of grey & black - but I am sure she was using a pale sort of green colour.  Perhaps my memory is playing games with me. Janet has used one of my favourite stamps from HoneyDoo. This is a really nice version of this technique - I love the subtle monochrome background images. Joan has used several different floral sprays which adds a different "texture" feel to her piece. Love the way Joan has also used the white highlight stamping just in the top corner. Joanna's card has an extra subtle touch as instead of doing the embossing in white she has used a holographic type of embossing powder which goes really well with the backgrou

Hello again everyone. In this post I have the photos from the Mold meeting held on Thursday last week (21st) & the first set is of their Show & Tell cards. The theme was - An ATC with a masculine theme. Here we go; Janet's ATC showing an interest in Indoor pastimes. I love the distressed background goes well with the images on the ATC A nice display of masculine clothing on Joan's ATC. I was trying to see if the background was specific words - but think it is one of those random script style stamps. Joanna went for the hardware appearance on her ATC with cogs & gears & a silver metallic finish. Lynn made us 9 ATC's with a variety of designs all made in the mixed media style that she loves doing. I love Rachel's truck - someone is off somewhere nice by the look of it. Rhiannon made 4 different styles of ATC & if I have remembered correctly they each had something to do with family or friends.

Just chatting - for now

Good morning everyone & another beautiful sunny day.  It is so hard to believe we are still in February it feels very spring like. I am just popping in for a quick chat to let you know that I have been feeling quite a bit better over the last few days & have actually got some of my mojo back & have been crafting. Last night (Tuesday) was the February meeting of the Mold II club & we had a very pleasant evening. I took the photos for the evening & will be showing them here over next day or two, because I have the photos from the Mold meeting last week to show you first. I have fallen a little behind with various updates to be done to the blog pages - so I will also be tackling that today - so do check back later - perhaps tomorrow to give me a chance to do it all. I am now going to sort the photos from the Mold meeting & will be back to blog those for you. 'Bye for now - enjoy the rest of this lovely day.

Just chatting

Hello everyone I hope you are all well. With regard to myself I am getting there although I am still very tired.  Even so I did manage to go along to the Mold meeting last night & I managed to demonstrate the project for the evening. Very tired again when I got home. Chatting with the ladies did lift my spirits quite a bit so I am hoping now that I can go forward a little more & get myself out of this tired stage. I am also hoping that the evening may have given my mojo a bit of a kick & I can start crafting again.  Thank you ladies for cheering me up. Although I did manage to stay all evening I didn't take the photos - Joanna very kindly agreed to take them (well I think I might have twisted her arm up her back a little  😉) - so I am looking forward to receiving those when Joanna has time to send them, & showing them to you. Well! its a weekend again so I do hope you have lots of nice things planned.  It looks like this sunshine may be around for a while w

CSNW photos

Hi everyone I am back again this time with the photos from the CSNW meeting a week ago. I was unable to attend so Joan stepped in with a project.  She chose the waterfall card which they had actually done late last year but I think she had a different approach to it.  Looking at the photos - I would say they really enjoyed the session. There are 2 photos for each lady the first one showing the outside, then the next one with it slightly open to show the inside. I think Joan also provided the photos - seeing as everyone had similar toppers. Ann Elvena Grace Gwen Joan Kate Claire Hmm! that's an unusual version of the card. Claire does like her work to be just right & she was having a bad day. So this is to prove she was there & you can see part of the card on the desk in front of her. Lovely cards ladies & a big thank you to Joan for stepping in at the last moment, plus ano

csnw photos - but hijacked at the last moment

Good afternoon everyone.  I hope you are having a good weekend. Before I show you the photos from the CSNW meeting on Wednesday (6th) I thought I would give you a quick update on my health. Last weekend I started getting some nasty pains in my back, mainly on the left side.  Through the weekend it got quite unbearable, brought me to tears in fact.  I could only sleep if I stayed in my recliner chair in the lounge.  So, as it was no better on the Monday morning Bob phoned the Cancer centre, explained the situation & they sent an ambulance to take me into the centre. After lots more tests & checks it was decided I had a urine infection,.  So more antibiotics & I could go home.  There had been a chance they would do an MRI & keep me in - but no.  As Bob had also ridden in the ambulance to the hospital we needed a lift home.  Gareth to the rescue.  He came to the hospital, picked us up & brought us home.  Thank you Gareth it was very much appreciated especially as it

member showcase

Hello everyone I am back today with another member showcase.  I am sorry there has been another gap between posts but although I seem to be coming out of this infection with my other health problem it has left me very washed out. So I do not have much energy & am very tired.  So I grab the moments when I am a little more alert to pop in & have a chat. The member showcase today is another one from Dot of Mold II club.  It is in fact her second dog card that she was asked to make.  Here are the photo Dot sent & what she had to say about them in her email; "Hi Gloria, Here is the second dog card.  I made a pizza styled box and covered it in gingham card stock then affixed a picture of her  dog along with a few embellishments to the outside.  On the inside cover I attached a note from Cesar Milan about dogs and food intolerance's.  I made up 6 different coloured cards and typed up 6 of his recipes and put a dog saying on the reverse sides.

CSNW CLUB - NOTICE ABOUT MEETING

Hi everyone. A post to let the CSNW ladies know that Joan (one of the members) has come up with a project for Wednesday evening, in light of the fact I am unable to attend.  She will be providing most of the materials BUT please take along bits & pieces & of course your basic kit. The project you were going to be doing with me will now be at the March meeting - save the Show & Tell for then as well. I look forward to receiving the photos. Enjoy the evening.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are all keeping well. This afternoon I have a member showcase for you & it is from Dot of Mold II club. She told me a few days ago  that she had been asked to make some "dog" cards. Today I have the first one of them to show you. Here is what she said in the email  that the photo came with. "Here is the first dog card.  As all my dog stamps were packed away I've had to resort to die cutting.  The kennel I drew out myself along with the dog bowl, ball and dog bone  and I drew and then cut out the clouds and then glued some cotton wool to them.  I was pleased with the result." You should be pleased Dot it is absolutely delightful. Thank you for sending it in to me. I have some photos of the other dog card Dot made & will put that hear as well over next couple of days. Have a good day. That's me for today.  'Bye.

Our Christmas cards - part 4

Image
Good morning everyone. Here I am as I said with the final batch of our Christmas cards to show you. an unusual card - the base of it is a wedge of wood Each of the ladies of Mold II had one of them from Rita - the wood is oddments from her new roof supports.  Side view below. Thank you ladies - Bob & I really enjoyed opening these cards & then placing them around the lounge.  They were all absolutely beautiful & so many different styles as well. Wednesday of this coming week sees the first meeting of the CSNW club - but I am afraid I will not be able to attend as I know that this infection will not have cleared enough.  I have sent an email to Grace & Joan to see if they can come up with an idea for the evening.  The card we would have been doing that evening we will do in March.  My apologies. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. That is me for today. 'Bye.
