Just popping in to wish you all a very Merry Christmas I hope you have a wonderful time

Popping in quickly

Hi everybody Sorry I have not been here for quite a few days - but I am afraid I have been unwell.  In fact, I am not right yet. I do not know exactly what happened my Doctor said possibly some gastric upset.  Anyway I have spent the last 5 days in bed & most of that time I have been asleep.  I have hardly eaten & only had a little drink - so not in a good way. This afternoon I have to try & get to the hospital for a blood test, then on Thursday for my 4-weekly oncologist visit.  I have my fingers crossed that I will soon start to feel lots better. In the meantime I am not going to be writing anything on the blog until after Christmas.  So this will be last message until then. I hope you all have a wonderful time.  Talk to you after Christmas. 'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone - this afternoon I have another showcase projects from the workshop that Joanna of Mold club attended recently.  As before I will put Joanna's email message beneath the photos; "Extra evening session on the Saturday - Eileen showed us how to make a  faux wooden fence and I did the 'Weathered Wood' one at home. I used one of the makes for my show n tell. Lucy showed us the paste/mica powders/ heat-tool-bubbling technique  which is what the wreath is made of" Thank you Joanna - you really had a good weekend.  That's not all folks - there are still 3 more batches to show you. Before I go - Cathy of Mold II club has put a comment on the birthday greetings post (19 Dec) regarding the cards she received. That's me for today.  Have a nice evening. 'Bye.

Good Afternoon everyone, although looking at the time I suppose it is Good Evening. Today I have another set of member showcase photos to show you.  Again they are from the weekend workshop attended by Joanna & Janet of Mold group, recently.  This time they are some of Joanna's work & again I will include the text from Joanna's email. "First set The four similar ones we did with Eileen in the afternoon, part of a  large background stencil coloured with a couple of inks and then another  larger one over the top using memento ink.  A little of the same  background on one corner of the envelope (with a piece of card inside to  stop leakage and to give a firm stamping base)" Thank you Joanna I am really envious.  I have followed Eileen's work for a long time. More of Joanna's still to come - lots in fact. Enjoy the rest of the day.  'Bye for now.

Good afternoon everyone I do hope you are all having a great weekend. Recently Joanna & Janet of Mold club went away for a weekend workshop.  Part of the workshop was with Sweet Poppy stencils & another with Eileen Godwin of Eileens Crafty Zone. At the last Mold meeting (November) Joanna & Janet took along the results of their work & Joanna has sent me loads of photos.  I will be putting them here gradually over the next few days. Here are 4 of the items made by Janet, & as I would find it difficult to say anything about them - after the photos, I have used the text from Joanna's email. Here is Joanna's email "These are a few of the ones Janet made over the weekend - I didn't shoot  all of them as some are very similar to the ones I did :) The black one is with paste and micro beads; the other is paste over  which, once dry, the stencil is replaced and inks added for colour. The two completed cards are what we did w

Good afternoon everyone. I had hoped to have photos from the CSNW's Wednesday's meeting to show you - but we experienced a little hiccup & so the ladies are bringing their cards back, decorated,  to the next meeting which will be February.  The project card was successfully made but not decorated - so wasn't worth taking the photos.  Sorry. I have some member showcase projects to show you which I will do over the weekend. I hope you all have a good weekend & that this promised awful weather doesn't come to anything. Talk to you over the weekend. 'Bye for now.

Good morning everyone & what a lovely sunny day.  I suspect it may be quite cold out there today as well. So wrap up warm when you go out. Today I have another member showcase for you & this time it is from Dot - a member of Mold II club. Here is her card; Isn't it cute? This is the message Dot sent with the photo -  "I've been busy trying to finish off my cards and didn't have any idea what to do for my friend  Hazel who is a crafter herself. I started a star shaped card then changed my mind as the  picture was too big and made the card too top heavy.  She has just got herself a little cockapoo puppy so I decided to use a basket topper   taken from an old Christmas card.  I cuttlebugged a host of poinsettias, added little gemstones and put a photo of  her dog behind the basket making it look like the puppy is sitting in the basket.  I was going to add a Santa hat to the dog or a tiny bow but neither of them looked right.

Good morning. Oh dear - it is now December!  Not much of the year left, where did it go? This morning I have a member showcase for you - or more correctly an ex-member showcase.  I recently received an email from Betty (who used to be a member of Mold II) - she keeps in touch from time to time. Attached to the email was the photo of a card she had recently made ---- here is what Betty said Hi Gloria, Thought I would send you this pic of card with stamp of unicorn,  so ‘ trendy ‘ at the moment.  The stamp came with magazine in 2017 and had never used it.  Also used brushos which I bought after one of your classes.   Betty x Here is the card; A lovely card Betty.  I do love the effects of Brusho's. So glad to know you are still making cards. Thank you for sending it in. Take care. I actually used my Brusho's recently & have got some ideas to use them some more.  So perhaps that will pick up my creative juices for 2020. That's me

Good afternoon everyone I hope your weekend is going well. At the Mold meeting a week ago Thursday, Sheelagh one of the members, brought in her project from the October meeting. It wasn't that it hadn't been photographed it was because she wasn't at the meeting & made it at home from the project notes. The project was the pull up concertina hanging, & Sheelagh made two.  One a little smaller than the other - so Joanna took a photo of the two together to show the difference. Here are the photos; Three different views of Sheelagh's work on the one of the size in the project A photo with the two sizes made by Sheelagh, side by side. Thank you for bringing them to the meeting Sheelagh & I am sorry I missed it & thank you to Joanna for sending the photos. If Sheelagh is unable to attend a meeting she always try to make the project at home.  Well done Sheelagh - they are really lovely. Other member showcases to come. T

Mold II photos - part 2

Good morning everyone on a nice sunny, bright but rather cold morning. This morning I have the second set of photos from the Mold II meeting on Tuesday & this time they are of their project.  This set of photos will be a little different to usual in that I won't be making any comments.  The reason being that, apart from the sheet of A4 card for the base card, the rest of the materials were provided by Carolyn & all materials were the same. Its a stepper card. Therefore the cards are virtually identical.  Just little tweaks.  But I wanted you to see that they were in fact made by everyone. Here we go; Thank Carolyn for another brilliant card design.  Everyone really enjoyed this one & I can see it being used throughout the coming year. Also a special thank you Carolyn for taking the photos & forwarding them to me - it is much appreciated. That's it for today ladies - more over the weekend.  I hope you have lots of

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all well. This afternoon I have the first set of photos from Tuesday's Mold II meeting & they are of their Show & Tell card which was to be a Kinetic card. Seeing as there is now nice name cards which go with the photographs I don't think I will put the names above the photos anymore.  Should a card get missed then I will state whose work it is. Here are their cards; A lovely pop-up cottage on the inside of Carolyn's card. It's been a long time since we did a pop--up in that style -  I think Carolyn may very well show how in the New Year sometime. A pretty z-fold card from Carol - such cute paper. They always look nice, whether simple in decoration or with more embellishments on. A veritable garden inside Helen's card. Helen is really into her flower dies & also making her own background papers. Lovely baubles on Elma's card. Sadly there is no photo of the inside of the

Hello everyone - just thought I would pop in for a quick chat. I meant to say in my last blog post that I have a collection of member showcases to write up, & of course after last night's Mold II meeting there will be photos of their Show & Tell also their project cards. I will also eventually have photos of the Christmas cards I have made this year.  But I will hang back on showing you those until a little closer to Christmas when I am sure most people will have opened theirs. Have a good day. I am off to my craft room to finish some more Christmas cards & to make some little gifts as well. 'Bye for now.

Hello again This time I have the photos of all her sample cards that Joanna took along to the meeting last Thursday. Thank you Joanna. Those are beautiful samples & don't they look good in a group. I have read the instructions & think I am OK with them - so I will be making one of these soon.  Probably use it for one of the many birthday cards that will be required in the new year, but it will be after  all my Christmas cards are finished.
