mold photos - part 2

Good afternoon everyone & what a glorious day it is.

I am happy & sad that it is so nice - because it is good for everyone to have some sunshine to enjoy themselves in especially after the days of rain recently.  But, I cannot go out in it - I can go out before 10:00 & after 3:00 depending on just how hot & sunny it is.  But I can still enjoy it.

Now, photos.

Today I have the second set of photos from the Mold club meeting a week ago Thursday.  This time they are of their project for the evening which was shown by Joanna.

Here is one of Joanna's sample cards;

The outside

The inside

When the card is stood up that band across the middle which has been folded
like a "W"  will stand away from the card.

Also this card was Joanna's card for the Show & Tell.
I didn't put it in with those photos so that it was a surprise here.

Now for the ladies cards

I love the sailing theme.
I believe Joan only placed the front on the card because she is going to matt the sailing boat.
A great card & another one that suits the men!

Mair still has have a focal image to go on the front of her card.
I love the patterned paper - its really nice & those pretty medallions on the inside too.

Rachel used a ready made card as her base - but the whole design still works well
with the idea, what ever the shape
Isn't that focal image great - I bet there are lots of people doing that today. 😉
I love the little flip flops on the inside.

This is just the inside of Rhiannon's card - as she concentrated on the inside
she wasn't able to finish the outside in time.  Those bird stamps are so cute.

What a beautiful colour scheme on Sheelagh's card.
Love the combination of butterflies & flowers on the inside.

Here are some photos of some other samples that Joanna took along to the meeting;

This bottom photo of the 3 shows off how the zig-zag strip looks when the card is stood up
The lighting makes the inside look a different colour

Here is another card  & again the room lighting is making them look different colours.

Lovely cards ladies - I shall have to work out how to make one of those.  Joanna did give me the instructions.

A big thank you to Joanna for overseeing the project & the evening & also for taking & sending me the photos.  It is much appreciated.

That is me for today - but before I go -

I have a member showcase sitting in my files & I have also received the photos from Carolyn of the Mold II meeting on Tuesday.

Before the week gets any older I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for the beautiful birthday cards I received.  I will in soon, as always, photograph them & put them here for you all to see.

'Bye for now - have a great weekend, enjoy this lovely weather.

mold photos - part 1

Good morning again ladies - it is now Friday morning.
I have an apology to make to Mair as I have shown her cards & attributed them to Joanna.  So sorry Mair. Just shows I shouldn't write this when I am in a hurry.  See further down.

Good morning everyone.

An early morning post today as I have a hospital appointment later this morning.

So, this morning I have the first set of photos from last Thursday's Mold club meeting & they are of their show & tell cards.  The theme was "Something with wings".

They were a small group that evening - but still a good amount of cards to see;

Lots of lovely wings on this card using very pretty dragonflies.
Joan also used the frame card that I showed them a couple of meetings ago.

What a beautiful butterfly & a lovely sentiment.
I do like those Tim Holtz corner dies that stay in the card.
Well, at least the ones I have are by Tim Holtz.

A lovely mixed media from Rhiannon.
Love it & I do like the clock with wings.

Sheelagh & Sheelagh & Sheelagh.

Sorry about that Sheelagh I just couldn't resist it.
A lovely colourful box frame card for her first offering & three
lovely cards - with a return to Retiform style.

Oh how cute is that!
I love them Mair

Another great set of cards ladies.

That's me done for today then - must get myself off to Glan Clwyd.
More photos tomorrow.

'Bye for now.

member showcase

Hi everybody - I am back after taking a little rest from everything.

I hope you all survived that awful rain we had & that there were no big disasters.

To kick start some blogging posts I have a member showcase for you today & it is from Rita of Mold II club.  She really enjoyed the star style easel card we did at a recent meeting & made one for some friends of hers who were celebrating their golden wedding.

The subject theme may seem a little out there...........................

........................ but golf is their passion.

Great card Rita.

I have received the photos from the Mold club meeting held last Thursday & will be sorting them onto my computer & getting them ready to show here.

So more photos on their way.

That's all from me today, so 'bye for now.

csnw photos -part 2

Good afternoon everyone.

Time for another weekend so I hope the weather is going to improve & that you have lots of nice things to do.

This afternoon I have the second set of photo from Wednesday nights CSNW meeting & this time they are of their project for the evening.  The project was the Telescopic card which I know was covered some years ago but there are new ladies in the group & some of them had not seen it before.

There are two photos to each card - one with it closed & one with it open;

Pretty colour from Joan - I am not sure if it is burgundy or an aubergine colour.
The main topper with the flowers Joan stamped & coloured them in during the evening.

Ruth has gone for natural colours - love that teddy in amongst the flowers.

A cute white teddy with a glittery bow on Kate's card

Natural colours again from Claire.
Love that raggedy style flower stamp & the verse is lovely.

More natural colours from Gwen.
I think  Claire spoilt Ruth & Gwen & cut their shapes for them, whilst she was cutting her own.
I love that sentiment - how true it is too.

Ann too has a great sentiment on her card & I think that is so right as well.
Lovely delicate stamped flowers & shading to circles.

I rather enjoyed playing with this card design again after such a long time.  I think Joanna of Mold club showed it to me & some of the ladies a while back.

In fact Elvena, who couldn't make the meeting Wednesday, emailed me a little later to say she had searched through her archive & found that we had made it back in 2011.  My goodness how time flies.  Thank you for letting me know that Elvena.

That's me for now ladies
Have a great weekend
'Bye for now.

csnw photos - part 1

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are all well.

This afternoon I have the first set of photos from last nights CSNW meeting & they are of their Show & Tell, where the theme was a card celebrating "WORDS".

Elvena who has been taking the photos for sometime now was not well enough to come to the meeting last night, & fortunately I had popped my camera into my bag, so I was able to take them.  Get well soon Elvena.

We had a small group last night so there are only four cards to show.

Joan used a stamp she had tried at the recent Happy Stamper festival & then purchased.
The background is a gel pad style stamp & is from Crafty Roo Designs, as was the verse.
The flowers frame the words nicely.

I had the good fortune to have a workshop with them a while back & really loved using those background stamps.  I think I did show photos of my work on here.

Gwen really celebrated words on her card - the background is all words & sayings
with the large Happy to set them off.

Ruth told us that she hasn't got any word stamps & her "calming flowers" is
made from individual letter stamps.
Lovely calming colours too Ruth.

Claire has not made a complete card but this will make a great card front.
In the background in a very light coloured ink there are words - but that big Happy Birthday
is certainly celebrating words.

Lovely cards ladies.

That is me for today.
'Bye for now.

D-Day 75 years

Today sees the 75th anniversary of D-day

So once again we will remember all those who fought
in that conflict, & those who didn't come home.

Our thoughts are with all the families that were affected during that time.

Hi everyone.

Well, my mojo popped back in today - hooray - I just hope it stays with me now.

I managed to get some samples ready for future projects, all the paperwork for tonight's meeting at CSNW & 4 birthday cards that are due.

Whew! I think I now need to lay down in a darkened room.  But no - it is the June meeting of the CSNW ladies tonight - so I will popping along there.

I hope that I will have photos for you tomorrow, from the meeting.

That's me for today - just a quick pop in.
'Bye for ow.

member showcase - comment

Good morning everyone.

Over the weekend I had an email from Rita of Mold II club regarding her cards I posted on Saturday last.

Here is the message she sent;

"Well, one card was glued down and the other had foam stickers on the back.
It was my friends birthday on Saturday so she had the purple one and loved it, the other is on its way to Papercraft Essentials mag, which the Wallace and Gromit was out of, hoping to win a prize so you never know we may see it again. "

Good luck Rita I am sure they will love it & you will be published once again.  As I have that magazine on subscription I will keep an eye for your card.

Here is a reminder of the cards;

member showcase

Good afternoon everyone I hope your weekend is going well.

Goodness its June already, & we are on our way to completing half of the year.

Today I have a member showcase for you & it is from Rita of the Mold II club.

After the meeting on Tuesday when we made the star style easel card Rita went home & worked on her cards & came up with a slightly different approach, sending me a photo.

Here is what she made;

Rita has used them as card fronts.  I cannot see, & didn't think to email her & ask, as to whether she has stuck the card down completely, or just glued them by the centre spine.

They look great Rita, thank you for sending me the photo.

That's me for today.
'Bye for now.
