Mold II photos

Good afternoon ladies. This afternoon I have the photos from this weeks Mold II Show & Tell which was set by Carolyn. The challenge was to make a card using 3 shades of the same colour, your choice of colour & theme. So, here we go -  Annette  "I used some very old Hero Arts stamps for the background and main image, stamped with chalk inks. I enjoyed re-discovering old favourites that haven’t been used for a long time." Carolyn "This is a recessed stepper card, embossed with A4 folder & inked with Colour Cloud ink. "Dreamees" flowers stamped using same ink, cut out & layered. They are attached with a thin strip of acetate." Ceri There wasn't any description of how Ceri made her card - but it is really pretty & delicate. Ceri also sent a photo of another card but she had several different colours in it - which I wasn't sure met this challenge.  So I have not put it here but will use it in a members showcase" Hope that is OK

Good evening everyone. This evening I have the photos from the Mold club Show & Tell from last Thursday. The challenge was set by Janet who asked us to use the idea of "Face, Hands & Space" but without any reference to Covid-19. I will not be putting any comments only to say that Maureen said she didn't have anything for Space, but when you look at her cards I think you will agree that the space around the focal images covers that point. Ann Helen Janet Joan Joanna Lynn Mair Maureen Me Rachel Rhiannon Sheelagh Thank you for the challenge Janet, I hope you are pleased with the results. Stay safe & well everyone.  I hope everyone who is due a jab has now had it & awaiting the date for your second one.

Good evening everyone. Another member showcase for you this evening, & once again it is from Dot of Mold II club.  Also it is a card for another brother-in-law on his birthday. This time one of those great pop up box cards && this is what Dot had to say about it; "Here is the second card I have made for another brother in law if mine.  He had a dedicated building erected in his garden to house a full size snooker table  and his 3 brothers have a snooker night once a week.   Unfortunately these evenings have had to be stopped because of the Covid restrictions  but all the men are looking forward to regroup once again.  Therefore it made sense to make a card featuring snooker. I searched Pinterest for an idea and then searched the web for free images of snooker equipment.   I found a free verse relating to snooker, printed it off and adhered it to the back.   I'm pleased with how it turned out and I'm sure my brother in law will be delighted." Brilliant car

Good evening everyone I have a member showcase for you this evening from Dot of Mold II club.  It is a card for a brother-in-law & she found the style on Pinterest (what would we do without it) & used Card-io stamps. Lovely card Dot & thank you for sending the photo in. I have another card from Dot to show you so keep an eye on the blog. It would be lovely to see photos of what you have been doing, especially during the long lockdown.  Why not send some photos to me to put on the blog.  It is after all for your work. Stay warm safe & well everyone.

Good afternoon everyone I hope you are well & if you have had your covid jab I hope it went well. If you haven't had your jab yet then I don't think it will be much longer as they seem to be getting through them a bit quicker now.  The photos I have for you today are from the CSNW ladies challenge for February Show &Tell.  I set them the challenge using a sketch.  Any size, any colour, any theme. Here is the sketch; and here are their cards Amy "Thank you Gloria for the sketch - it is good having one as a starting point.  I did not have anything for the oval part - I have now put 'oval diecuts' on my wish list -  so have substituted it with my nested plaques. Next time I make this type of card I will go for a bit of colour!"  Ladies it doesn't matter if you don't have the exact shape any substitute can be made as long as the general style of the sketch can still be seen. I don't want to be incurring the wrath of your bank managers.  😀 Grac
