Rubber Stamping - North Wales

Hello again. Now for the photos from the project for the evening - well actually there were 2 projects, but I will post them separately. The first one is for a background technique I found on the internet quite a while back - here is a card I made using it. It's the diamond shaped pattern on the layer under the focal image layer. At the meeting I was trying to remember what it was called & knew it has something to do with pillows. It was called "pillow top background" This design was worked with a pale blue ink on white card - there is no blue card involved.  Once the main shape of the design is fixed - whiteness can be taken away by gently sponging with the same colour over the design created. At my demonstration of how to do this - I didn't get a very good result but the ladies could see what had to be done & went back to try their hand at it.  I then sat a bit longer & managed to sort myself out to produce a better worked example. ...

Good evening - well here I am with the first set of photos from CSNW's meeting last night. They are of the Show & Tell which was an ATC with a roses theme.  I had made a little error in choosing ATC's for this Show & Tell as we had done ATC in May - so there were only 3 entries.  Here they are; A beautiful combination of roses & sheet music.  Lovely design. A delicate design & I love the way the rose spray crosses the 2 background papers. A very apt sentiment for a very romantic image. The layering of the different elements on this is so clever. I am going straight off to write the second section of these photos.  Back in a little while.  'Byee.

Just popping in quickly to welcome a new follower to our blog. Welcome Anita I hope you enjoy your visits. Anita is someone I know from quite a long way back it was nice to hear from her the other day.  I am waiting for her to email me so we can have a chat.  Looking forward to hearing from you Anita. Hi everyone Just got in from the CSNW meeting.  We had a very pleasant meeting & considering I changed everything at the last minute - a very successful evening too. I will have photos to show you tomorrow. I am now off to bed to set up my system for another day of clearing out - ooh, will it never end!!!! Of course the thought crosses my mind, on the way home tonight, it's all got to come out again at the new house.  So similar job in reverse.  Oh roll on my holiday.  Seriously I am quite looking forward to getting set up in the new home - but I will be ready for the holiday afterwards.  What a year! Night night - more tomorrow.

Good evening ladies - this post is particularly for the CSNW ladies who have a meeting tomorrow evening. Due to getting things sorted for my up & coming move I am afraid I have fallen behind with samples & preparations.  So I am going to change what we are doing tomorrow night. Please come with stamps & inks & some dusting brushes or sponges.  A ruler will be very important & coloured pens or pencils.  I will bring card / cards & as much of everything else that I can, with me.  I am really sorry about this but I am sure you will like what we are going to be doing.  We can leave the crayon resist until July. Hi everyone - as you know I do rather a lot of digital crafting & I am just popping in to blow my own trumpet here. I belong to a Facebook group for the software I use - Serif Craft Artist - & during the month of May they held a challenge.  To create a page (or as many as you could manage - I did 2) using a minikit that had been especially created.  This morning I found out that one of my pages had been selected for the top 6.  Here is the page & if you want to read about just click on my digital blog link on the screen. Right off to do some more shredding - as I have uncovered more old paperwork.
