,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, a Show & Tell project

Good afternoon everyone - & oh dear - here is that white stuff again.  I understand it is going to rain today (which it is already doing here) so it doesn't seem like it will hang around long.  Mind you looking through my lounge window that sky looks like there is a lot more up there for us.  Sky yes! - but I meant snow.  😀

Now! this Show & Tell project.  

It was put to the ladies of the Mold II club at their meeting last Tuesday, by Elizabeth one of their members.  At first I wasn't going to say anything about it - but that would be unfair to the ladies, as those that were present will know all about it & any that were not there will be in the dark.

That different idea?

Well,  it is the used tea-bags in the toppers decorating the cards.
I love the first card, in particular. with more stamped decoration on it, & the use of one with the 
tea-cup stamp in the second card is a great idea.

Well done Elizabeth for putting this idea forward - I can't wait to see what the ladies bring along to the April meeting.

You have peeked my interest & all weekend I have been saving my teabags.  
Of course Bob thinks I have totally lost it now.

CSNW Photos & last post

 Good afternoon ladies this afternoon I have the photos from the CSNW S&T for June. The theme I set was any theme of their choosing but using the colours red, white & blue.  Here are their cards. Amy Two nice classic style cards from Amy Grace Simplicity is the key here They are so elegant too. Gwen Beautiful embossed card & flowers which have been decoupaged Joan A stepper card with a beautiful circular central topper. Thank you ladies for sending them in - certainly very different styles today. So! - Last post? Over the last year or so all 3 clubs have been getting themselves sorted out in order to continue running the clubs from now on. Remember I announced in 2019 that I would be standing back at the end of 2020 & retiring.  I will of course keep in touch & visit the meetings now & again.  But it is now time for me to hang up my stamps.  Well not literally as I will still make cards - but you know what I meant. All 3 clubs now have the way forward sorted.  C

Jayne Nestorenko

Good morning I was informed this morning, by Rita of Mold II club, that Jayne Nestorenko had passed away on Saturday evening after a long illness. I suspect that there may be some amongst you who do not know of her - but many who do. I followed Jayne's work for a long time & many of those lovely large wooden stamps that were around came into my collection beause of her enthusiasm & creativity. I particularly enjoyed using, & held many workshops at Daleside, to show how to use the Treasure Box stamps which were very popular; I cannot now remember who made those stamps & there were different sizes & you made different shaped boxes according to how many pieces you stamped.  Then of course you also had the matching medallion stamp to place on the top of the box. The crafting world is saddened by the loss of this lovely lady. Sleep peacefully Jayne.
