Days 8 & 9
Hello everyone
Now two days to tell you about although today (day 9) is not finished yet - but will take opportunity of being able to get on internet.
Yesterday we went to a town called Dinan which has a historic old town & walled city. The houses were timbered & the lanes all cobble stones which was fun to walk on. We took a circular walk - well most of it - part of it went down a rather steep lane which took some watching - couldn't use the cam corder whilst walking - had to stop & film. We ended up on a panoramic point above the river which was quite something.
After a little more walking we found a good restaurant where we sat & watched the world go by until they opened for food.
Today we have been to Carnac which is where there are a lot of megalithic stones. Wow - so many - runs to 2394 (or so) - very impressive. In order to see everything we took Le Petit Train for a 50 minutes tour.
All of that & the sun as well. Brilliant!
We are now gradually making our way back to the gite - but looking for somewhere to eat. Most probably in this town where this McDonalds is - Pontivy. More about that next time.
